以色列犯了罪，又違背了我所吩咐他們的約，又取了當滅之物。他們又偷竊，又行詭詐，又把那當滅的物與自己的器皿放在一起。因此，以色列人在仇敵面前站立不住。他們在仇敵面前轉身逃跑，因為他們成了當滅的物。你們若不把當滅的物從你們中間除掉，我就不再與你們同在了。

亞哈聽見拿伯死了，就起來，下去要取得耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園。

他對我說：「這就是向全地面發出的詛咒。凡偷竊的必按書卷這面的話除滅，凡起假誓的必按書卷那面的話除滅。萬軍之耶和華說：我要把這書卷送出去，進入偷竊者的家和指着我名起假誓者的家，停留在他家裏，連房屋帶木頭和石頭都毀滅了。」

這些人豈不都要提起詩歌和俗語，嘲諷他說：禍哉！你增添不屬自己的財物，靠押金發財，要到幾時呢？

禍哉！那些向耶和華深藏謀略的，他們在暗中行事，說：「有誰看見我們呢？誰會注意我們呢？」
