以色列人犯了罪，违背了我所吩咐他们的约，取了当灭的物；又偷窃，又行诡诈，又把那当灭的放在他们的家具里。因此，以色列人在仇敌面前站立不住。他们在仇敌面前转背逃跑，是因成了被咒诅的；你们若不把当灭的物从你们中间除掉，我就不再与你们同在了。

亚哈听见拿伯死了，就起来，下去要得耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄园。

他对我说：“这是发出行在遍地上的咒诅。凡偷窃的必按卷上这面的话除灭；凡起假誓的必按卷上那面的话除灭。万军之耶和华说：我必使这书卷出去，进入偷窃人的家和指我名起假誓人的家，必常在他家里，连房屋带木石都毁灭了。”

这些国的民岂不都要提起诗歌并俗语讥刺他说：“祸哉！迦勒底人，你增添不属自己的财物，多多取人的当头，要到几时为止呢？”

祸哉！那些向耶和华深藏谋略的，又在暗中行事，说：“谁看见我们呢？谁知道我们呢？”
