以色列人犯了罪，违背了我吩咐他们的约定，因为他们取了那当毁灭的物，他们偷窃，并且说谎，又把那当毁灭的物放在自己的物件中。所以，以色列人在他们的仇敌面前站立不住，在他们的仇敌面前转身逃跑，因为他们成了当毁灭的。如果你们不把那当毁灭的物从你们中间除掉，我就必不再与你们同在了。

亚哈听见拿伯已经死了，就起来，下到耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄园那里去，要占有那园。

他对我说：“这是向全地发出的咒诅：凡偷盗的必照着书卷这面所写的被清除；凡起假誓的必照着那面所记的被清除。万军之耶和华说：‘我要使这书卷出去，进入盗贼的家和指着我的名起假誓之人的家，这书卷必留在他的家中，要把他家里的木料和石头都毁灭（这是万军之耶和华说的）。’”

这些国民岂不都用譬喻、讽刺、暗语指着他们说：“那些滥得他人财物的，满载别人抵押品的，有祸了！他们这样要到几时呢？”

那些向耶和华深藏谋略的人，有祸了！他们在暗中行事，说：“谁看见我们？谁知道我们？”
