Gehazi, the attendant of Elisha the man of God, thought,“ My master has let this Aramean Naaman off lightly by not accepting from him what he brought. As the LORD lives, I will run after him and get something from him.”

神人以利沙的仆人基哈西心里说：“我主人不愿从这亚兰人乃缦手里受他带来的礼物，我指着永生的耶和华起誓，我必跑去追上他，向他要些。”

乃缦刚走不远，上帝仆人以利沙的仆人基哈西心想：“我主人没有收亚兰人乃缦带来的礼物就让他走了。我凭永活的耶和华起誓，我一定要追上去，向他要点东西。”

神人以利沙的仆人基哈西心里说：“看哪，我主人不肯从这亚兰人乃缦手中收取他带来的礼物；我指着永活的耶和华起誓，我要追上他，向他要些东西。”

神人以利沙的僕人基哈西心裏說：「我主人不願從這亞蘭人乃縵手裏受他帶來的禮物，我指着永生的耶和華起誓，我必跑去追上他，向他要些。」

乃縵剛走不遠，上帝僕人以利沙的僕人基哈西心想：「我主人沒有收亞蘭人乃縵帶來的禮物就讓他走了。我憑永活的耶和華起誓，我一定要追上去，向他要點東西。」

神人以利沙的僕人基哈西心裡說：“看哪，我主人不肯從這亞蘭人乃縵手中收取他帶來的禮物；我指著永活的耶和華起誓，我要追上他，向他要些東西。”

神人的僮僕基哈西心裏說：『看哪，我主人顧惜這一位亞蘭人乃縵，不從他手裏接收他所帶來的東西。我指着永活的永恆主來起誓、我一定要跑去追上他，向他要一點。』

上帝僕以利沙之僕基哈西曰、我主惜此亞蘭人乃縵之費、不受其手所攜者、我指維生之耶和華而誓、我必追之、少索其物、

上帝僕以利沙之從者、其哈西私念曰、我主釋此亞蘭人乃慢、不受其所饋、我指耶和華以誓、我將追之、冀有少得。

神人以利沙之僕基哈西私念曰、我主人不願由此亞蘭人乃縵手、受其所攜、我指永生主而誓、我趨而追之、向其稍索、

Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said to himself,“ My master was too easy on Naaman, this Aramean, by not accepting from him what he brought. As surely as the Lord lives, I will run after him and get something from him.”

Gehazi was the servant of Elisha, the man of God. Gehazi said to himself,“ My master was too easy on Naaman from Aram. He should have accepted the gift Naaman brought. I’m going to run after him. I’m going to get something from him. And that’s just as sure as the Lord is alive.”

Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said,“ See, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not accepting from his hand what he brought. As the Lord lives, I will run after him and get something from him.”

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha, the man of God, said to himself,“ My master should not have let this Aramean get away without accepting any of his gifts. As surely as the Lord lives, I will chase after him and get something from him.”

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, thought,“ Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Aramean, by not accepting from his hand what he brought. As the Lord lives, I will run after him and take something from him.”

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said,“ Look, my master has spared Naaman this Syrian, while not receiving from his hands what he brought; but as the Lord lives, I will run after him and take something from him.”

But Gehazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: as Jehovah liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.

Gehazi, the prophet Elisha’s servant, thought,“ Look, my master did not accept what this Syrian Naaman offered him. As certainly as the LORD lives, I will run after him and accept something from him.”

But Gehazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said,“ Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought. As Yahweh lives, I will run after him, and take something from him.”

He ordered his attendant Gehazi,“ Call this Shunammite woman.” So he called her and she stood before him.

Do not misuse the name of the LORD your God, because the LORD will not leave anyone unpunished who misuses his name.

He announced,“ May God punish me and do so severely if the head of Elisha son of Shaphat remains on his shoulders today.”

Gehazi went ahead of them and placed the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or sign of life, so he went back to meet Elisha and told him,“ The boy didn’t wake up.”

Elisha called Gehazi and said,“ Call the Shunammite woman.” He called her and she came. Then Elisha said,“ Pick up your son.”

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give me this power also so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

They have eyes full of adultery that never stop looking for sin. They seduce unstable people and have hearts trained in greed. Children under a curse!They have gone astray by abandoning the straight path and have followed the path of Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of wickedness

“ The master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the children of this age are more shrewd than the children of light in dealing with their own people.

Shepherd God’s flock among you, not overseeing out of compulsion but willingly, as God would have you; not out of greed for money but eagerly;

However, he kept back part of the proceeds with his wife’s knowledge, and brought a portion of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

But you have eyes and a heart for nothing except your own dishonest profit, shedding innocent blood and committing extortion and oppression.

“ Why wasn’t this perfume sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?”He didn’t say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief. He was in charge of the money-bag and would steal part of what was put in it.

He then told them,“ Watch out and be on guard against all greed, because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.”

As surely as the LORD lives who saves Israel, even if it is because of my son Jonathan, he must die!” Not one of the troops answered him.

For the wicked one boasts about his own cravings; the one who is greedy curses and despises the LORD.

Woe to him who dishonestly makes wealth for his house to place his nest on high, to escape the grasp of disaster!

Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

As an overseer of God’s household, he must be blameless, not arrogant, not hot-tempered, not an excessive drinker, not a bully, not greedy for money,

Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

Jesus replied to them,“ Didn’t I choose you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.”

But those who want to be rich fall into temptation, a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge people into ruin and destruction.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.But you, man of God, flee from these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.

Now when it was time for supper, the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas, Simon Iscariot’s son, to betray him.

because Demas has deserted me, since he loved this present world, and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.

In his own eyes, a slacker is wiser than seven who can answer sensibly.
