But he said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will accept nothing.” And he urged him to accept it, but he refused.

The prophet answered,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept a thing.” And even though Naaman urged him, he refused.

The prophet answered,“ I serve the Lord. You can be sure that he lives. And you can be just as sure that I won’t accept a gift from you.” Even though Naaman begged him to take it, Elisha wouldn’t.

But he said,“ As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

But Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept any gifts.” And though Naaman urged him to take the gift, Elisha refused.

But Elisha said,“ As the LORD lives, in whose presence I stand, I will not accept it.” Naaman urged him to accept it, but he refused.

But he said,“ As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

But he said, As Jehovah liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.

But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, I stand before Him. I will not accept it.” Naaman urged him to accept it, but he refused.

But he said,[ As] the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take[ it]; but he refused.

But Elisha replied,“ As certainly as the LORD lives( whom I serve), I will take nothing from you.” Naaman insisted that he take it, but he refused.

But he said,“ As Yahweh lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” He urged him to take it; but he refused.

Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord of armies lives, before whom I stand, if I did not respect Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look at you nor see you.

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, thought,“ Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Aramean, by not accepting from his hand what he brought. As the Lord lives, I will run after him and take something from him.”

Then he said to him,“ Did my heart not go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to accept money and to accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, oxen, and male and female slaves?

Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall certainly be neither dew nor rain during these years, except by my word.”

Then Daniel replied and said before the king,“ Keep your gifts for yourself or give your rewards to someone else; however, I will read the inscription to the king and make the interpretation known to him.

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have sworn to the Lord God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth,that I will not take a thread or a sandal strap or anything that is yours, so that you do not say,‘ I have made Abram rich.’

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

All things are permitted for me, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.

Here for this third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I do not seek what is yours, but you; for children are not responsible to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

Then Elijah said,“ As surely as the Lord of armies lives, before whom I stand, I will certainly present myself to him today.”

But the man of God said to the king,“ If you were to give me half your house, I would not go with you, nor would I eat bread or drink water in this place.

and when I was present with you and was in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for when the brothers came from Macedonia they fully supplied my need, and in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and will continue to do so.As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be stopped in the regions of Achaia.

Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give this authority to me as well, so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire the gift of God with money!

I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or clothes.You yourselves know that these hands served my own needs and the men who were with me.In everything I showed you that by working hard in this way you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said,‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
