But Elisha said,“ As the LORD lives, in whose presence I stand, I will not accept it.” Naaman urged him to accept it, but he refused.

以利沙说：“我凭我事奉的永活上帝起誓，我决不接受。”乃缦再三请求，他仍不肯接受。

以利沙说：“我指着我所事奉永活的耶和华起誓，我决不收取任何礼物。”乃缦再三促请他接受，都被他拒绝。

曰、我指所事維生之耶和華而誓、我必不受、乃縵強之、惟彼固辭、

曰、我指所事之耶和華而誓、我必不受。促之固辭。

曰、我指所事之永生主而誓、我必不受、乃縵促之、以利沙決然不受、

The prophet answered,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept a thing.” And even though Naaman urged him, he refused.

The prophet answered,“ I serve the Lord. You can be sure that he lives. And you can be just as sure that I won’t accept a gift from you.” Even though Naaman begged him to take it, Elisha wouldn’t.

But he said,“ As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

But Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept any gifts.” And though Naaman urged him to take the gift, Elisha refused.

But he said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will accept nothing.” And he urged him to accept it, but he refused.

But he said,“ As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

But he said, As Jehovah liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.

But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, I stand before Him. I will not accept it.” Naaman urged him to accept it, but he refused.

But he said,[ As] the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take[ it]; but he refused.

But Elisha replied,“ As certainly as the LORD lives( whom I serve), I will take nothing from you.” Naaman insisted that he take it, but he refused.

But he said,“ As Yahweh lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” He urged him to take it; but he refused.

Elisha responded,“ By the life of the LORD of Armies, before whom I stand: If I did not have respect for King Jehoshaphat of Judah, I wouldn’t look at you; I would not take notice of you.

Gehazi, the attendant of Elisha the man of God, thought,“ My master has let this Aramean Naaman off lightly by not accepting from him what he brought. As the LORD lives, I will run after him and get something from him.”

“ And my heart didn’t go when the man got down from his chariot to meet you,” Elisha said.“ Is this a time to accept silver and clothing, olive orchards and vineyards, flocks and herds, and male and female slaves?

Now Elijah the Tishbite, from the Gilead settlers, said to Ahab,“ As the LORD God of Israel lives, in whose presence I stand, there will be no dew or rain during these years except by my command!”

Then Daniel answered the king,“ You may keep your gifts and give your rewards to someone else; however, I will read the inscription for the king and make the interpretation known to him.

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have raised my hand in an oath to the LORD, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,that I will not take a thread or sandal strap or anything that belongs to you, so you can never say,‘ I made Abram rich.’

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

“ Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial.“ Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything.

Look, I am ready to come to you this third time. I will not burden you, since I am not seeking what is yours, but you. For children ought not save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

Then Elijah said,“ As the LORD of Armies lives, in whose presence I stand, today I will present myself to Ahab.”

Give no offense to Jews or Greeks or the church of God,just as I also try to please everyone in everything, not seeking my own benefit, but the benefit of many, so that they may be saved.

But the man of God replied,“ If you were to give me half your house, I still wouldn’t go with you, and I wouldn’t eat food or drink water in this place,

When I was present with you and in need, I did not burden anyone, since the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my needs. I have kept myself, and will keep myself, from burdening you in any way.As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be stopped in the regions of Achaia.

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give me this power also so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter told him,“ May your silver be destroyed with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.You yourselves know that I worked with my own hands to support myself and those who are with me.In every way I’ve shown you that it is necessary to help the weak by laboring like this and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, because he said,‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
