他的僕人走近前來對他說道：『我父啊，神言人若吩咐你一件大事，你難道不作麼？何況他只對你說：「你去洗澡，而得潔淨」呢？』

其僕進而謂之曰、我父歟、先知若命爾行一大事、爾豈不行之、況僅言沐浴而得潔乎、

其從者至前、告曰、我主歟、如先知以難成之事使爾、爾豈有所不為、況彼第言、濯身而成潔乎。

其僕至前告曰、我父歟、如先知以難成之事命爾、爾亦當為之、況第言浴身而成潔乎、

Naaman’s servants went to him and said,“ My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you,‘ Wash and be cleansed’!”

Naaman’s servants went over to him. They said,“ You are like a father to us. What if Elisha the prophet had told you to do some great thing? Wouldn’t you have done it? But he only said,‘ Wash yourself. Then you will be pure and“ clean.” ’ You should be even more willing to do that!”

But his servants came near and said to him,“ My father, it is a great word the prophet has spoken to you; will you not do it? Has he actually said to you,‘ Wash, and be clean’?”

But his officers tried to reason with him and said,“ Sir, if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it? So you should certainly obey him when he says simply,‘ Go and wash and be cured!’”

But his servants approached and said to him,“ My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more should you do it when he only tells you,‘ Wash and be clean’?”

Then his servants approached and spoke to him, saying,“ My father, had the prophet told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you,‘ Wash, and be clean’?”

And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said,“ My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you,‘ Wash, and be clean’?”

And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

But his servants approached and said to him,“ My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more should you do it when he tells you,‘ Wash and be clean’?”

And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father,[ if] the prophet had bid thee[ do some] great thing, wouldest thou not have done[ it]? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

His servants approached and said to him,“ O master, if the prophet had told you to do some difficult task, you would have been willing to do it. It seems you should be happy that he simply said,“ Wash and you will be healed.”

His servants came near, and spoke to him, and said,“ My father, if the prophet had asked you do some great thing, wouldn’t you have done it? How much rather then, when he says to you,‘ Wash, and be clean?’”

以色列王看見他們，問以利沙說：「我父啊，我可以殺他們嗎？」

以利沙見此情景，便喊道：「我父啊！我父啊！以色列的戰車和騎兵啊！」以利沙見以利亞消失在天空中，就悲傷地把自己的衣服撕成兩半。

以利沙患了不治之症，以色列王約阿施前去探望，伏在他身上哭喊道：「我父啊！我父啊！以色列的戰車和騎兵啊！」

那時，王正坐在便雅憫門口。宮廷侍臣古實人以伯·米勒聽說他們把耶利米囚在蓄水池裡，便從王宮跑去對王說：「我主我王啊！這些人對耶利米先知太狠毒了。他們把他丟在蓄水池裡，他必餓死在那裡，因為城中絕糧了。」於是，王吩咐古實人以伯·米勒率領三十人，在耶利米先知未死之前把他從池中救出來。

但只有人裡面的靈——全能者的氣息賜人悟性。長者不一定有智慧，年老不一定明白是非。

我回答說：「先生，你知道答案。」他便說：「這些都是經過大災難的人，他們用羔羊的血將衣裳洗得純淨潔白。

好藉著自己的道用水洗淨教會，使她聖潔，以便把聖潔、完美、沒有污點、皺紋等瑕疵的榮耀教會呈獻給祂自己。

但上帝揀選了世人看為愚昧的，要使智者羞愧；上帝揀選了世上軟弱的，要使強者蒙羞；

以利沙派使者出去對乃縵說：「你到約旦河裡洗七次，你的皮膚就會復原，並得到潔淨。」

拿八的一個僕人告訴拿八的妻子亞比該說：「大衛從曠野派人來向我們主人問安，主人卻辱罵他們。大衛的僕人對我們很好，從來不欺負我們。我們跟他們一起在田野的時候，從來沒有丟過任何東西。我們在他們附近牧羊的時候，他們晝夜不斷地保護我們。所以，請你趕快想個法子，不然主人和他全家恐怕都會大難臨頭。主人是個兇暴的人，沒有人敢跟他說話。」

雖然有千萬老師將基督的事教導你們，但父親並不多，因為我藉著福音在基督耶穌裡成為你們的父親。

藉著重生之洗和聖靈的更新拯救了我們，這並非因為我們有義行，而是因為祂的憐憫。

求你洗淨我的罪過，清除我的罪惡。

臣僕給亞蘭王獻計說：「以色列人的神是山神，所以他們佔了上風，我們若在平原上跟他們交戰，一定會取勝。

哈薛用四十頭駱駝馱著大馬士革的各種美物前去拜見以利沙。到了那裡，他站在以利沙面前說：「你兒子亞蘭王便·哈達派我來問你，他的病能否痊癒？」

上帝運用自己的智慧不讓世人憑自己的智慧去認識祂，祂樂意採用世人看為愚昧的道理去拯救那些相信的人，這就是上帝的智慧。

彼得說：「你絕對不可以洗我的腳。」耶穌說：「如果我不洗你的腳，你就和我沒有關係了。」

現在你還等什麼呢？起來求告祂的名，接受洗禮，洗淨你的罪。』

祂潔淨了我們被罪困擾的良心，用清水洗淨了我們的身體。因此，我們要信心十足、真誠地到上帝面前。

不要稱呼地上的人為父親，因為你們只有一位父親，祂在天上。

讓他坐在自己的第二輛御車上，並有人在御車前高呼：「跪下！」這樣，法老派約瑟治理整個埃及。

求你用牛膝草潔淨我的罪，使我乾淨；求你洗淨我，使我比雪更白。

臣僕對他說：「我們聽說以色列王很仁慈。現在，我們不如腰束麻布，頭套繩索，向以色列王請降，或許他會饒王一命。」

有一天，她對主母說：「要是我主人去見撒瑪利亞的那位先知就好了！他一定能治好我主人的痲瘋病。」

你們要洗淨自己，停止作惡，不要讓我再看見你們的惡行。

萬軍之耶和華對祭司說：「兒子應當尊敬父親，僕人應當敬畏主人。我是你們的父親，但你們對我的尊敬在哪裡呢？我是你們的主人，但你們對我的敬畏在哪裡呢？你們藐視我的名，卻狡辯說，『我們在何事上藐視過你的名呢？』

這水代表的洗禮現在藉著耶穌基督的復活也拯救了你們。這洗禮要表明的不是除掉肉體的污穢，而是求在上帝面前有無愧的良心。
