大马士革的亚波纳河和法尔法河不比以色列所有的河都好吗？难道我在那里洗就不能得到洁净吗？”于是，他怒冲冲地转身走了。

大马士革的亚罢拿河和法珥法河，不是比以色列一切河流更好吗？我不是可以在那里沐浴，得着洁净吗？”于是他掉过头来，气忿忿地走了。

大馬士革的河亞罷拿和法珥法豈不比以色列的一切水更好嗎？我在那裏沐浴不得潔淨嗎？」於是氣忿忿地轉身去了。

大馬士革的亞瑪拿河和法珥法河豈不比以色列的一切水更好嗎？我難道不可以在那裏沐浴而得潔淨嗎？」於是他生氣，轉身走了。

大馬色的河亞罷拿和法珥法、不是比以色列所有的水更好麼？我在那裏面洗澡，不能潔淨麼？』於是氣忿忿轉身而去。

大馬色之河、亞罷拿與法珥法、較以色列諸水、豈不尤佳乎、我不可浴於彼、而得潔乎、遂忿然反身而去、

大馬色之河、亞巴拿與法法、較之以色列地之水、豈非尤善、濯身於彼、豈不能成潔乎。遂怒欲歸。

大瑪色之河亞罷拿與法珥法、較以色列地諸水、豈不更美乎、我不可浴身於彼而得潔乎、於是轉身忿怒而去、

Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage.

Are Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, not better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage.

and when they that bare the ark were come unto the Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brink of the water( for the Jordan overfloweth all its banks all the time of harvest),that the waters which came down from above stood, and rose up in one heap, a great way off, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those that went down toward the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, were wholly cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of Jehovah stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel passed over on dry ground, until all the nation were passed clean over the Jordan.

Again he measured a thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the loins.Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass through; for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed through.And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the bank of the river.Now when I had returned, behold, upon the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.Then said he unto me, These waters issue forth toward the eastern region, and shall go down into the Arabah; and they shall go toward the sea; into the sea shall the waters go which were made to issue forth; and the waters shall be healed.

The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger; And it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
