But Naaman went away angry and said,“ I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.

Naaman went away angry. He said,“ Look, I thought for sure he would come out, stand there, invoke the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the area, and cure the skin disease.

But Naaman was angry, and went away, and said,“ Behold, I thought,‘ He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of Yahweh his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leper.’

不要自以为有智慧，要敬畏耶和华，远离恶事。

百夫长说：“主啊，我不配让你亲自来我家。你只要说一句话，我仆人就会痊愈。

因为自高的人必遭贬抑，谦卑的人必得尊荣。”

你们不要自欺。如果你们有人自以为在世上有智慧，他应当变成愚人，好成为真正的智者。因为这世上的智慧在上帝的眼中都是愚昧的，正如圣经上说：“上帝使智者中了自己的诡计。”又说：“主知道智者的思想虚妄。”

耶稣对他说：“你们不看见神迹奇事，总不相信。”

上帝运用自己的智慧不让世人凭自己的智慧去认识祂，祂乐意采用世人看为愚昧的道理去拯救那些相信的人，这就是上帝的智慧。犹太人要看神迹，希腊人寻求智慧，但我们传讲被钉十字架的基督。这对犹太人来说是绊脚石，对外族人来说是愚昧的。但对于蒙召的人，无论是犹太人还是希腊人，基督是上帝的能力、上帝的智慧。因为上帝的“愚昧”也胜过世人的智慧，上帝的“软弱”也胜过世人的刚强。

从此，很多门徒离开了，不再跟从耶稣。于是耶稣问那十二个门徒：“你们也要离开我吗？”西门·彼得答道：“主啊！你有永生之道，我们还跟从谁呢？我们已经相信并且知道你是上帝的圣者。”

我实实在在地告诉你们，人若接待我所差遣的，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待差我来的那位。”

那青年听后，便忧伤地走了，因为他有许多产业。

耶和华说：“我的意念并非你们的意念，我的道路并非你们的道路。正如天高过地，我的道路也高过你们的道路，我的意念也高过你们的意念。

愚昧人背离正道，自招灭亡；愚顽人逍遥自在，毁掉自己。

妇人说：“主啊，不错，可是狗也吃主人饭桌上掉下来的碎渣呀！”

自高自大招惹纷争，虚心受教才是睿智。

然而，属血气的人不接受从上帝来的圣灵的教导，认为愚不可及，无法明白，因为只有属灵的人才能参透。属灵的人能够参透万事，但没有人能参透他。“谁曾知道主的心意，能够指教祂呢？”但我们明白基督的心意。

你们必须谨慎，切勿拒绝对你们说话的上帝。因为以色列人违背了在地上警戒他们的人，尚且逃脱不了惩罚，何况我们违背从天上警戒我们的上帝呢？
