一日，以利沙來到那裏，轉進那閣樓，躺臥在那裏。以利沙吩咐僕人基哈西說：「你叫這書念婦人來。」他把婦人叫了來，婦人就站在以利沙面前。

羅得懇切地請他們，他們就轉向他，進到他屋裏。羅得為他們預備宴席，烤無酵餅，他們就吃了。

她和她一家都領了洗，就求我們說：「你們若以為我是真心信主的，請到我家裏來住。」於是她堅決請我們留下。
