挪亞因為有信心，在上帝指示他未來要發生的事之後，就懷著敬畏的心建造方舟，來救全家的人。他藉著信心定了那個世代的罪，並承受了因信而來的義。亞伯拉罕因為有信心，聽到上帝的呼召後，就遵命前往他將要承受為產業的地方，但他出發的時候還不知道自己要去哪裡。

相信主所說的話必實現的女子有福了！」

那婦人就依照以利亞的話做了。婦人一家和以利亞就這樣吃了許多天，罈裡的麵沒有用完，瓶裡的油也沒有用光，應驗了耶和華藉以利亞說的話。

乃縵卻怒沖沖地走了。他說：「我以為他一定會出來見我，為我站著求告他的上帝耶和華，用手在我的患處晃一晃，醫好我的痲瘋病。
