But his servant said,“ What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?” He said again,“ Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the Lord:‘ They shall eat and have some left over.’”

“ How can I set this before a hundred men?” his servant asked. But Elisha answered,“ Give it to the people to eat. For this is what the Lord says:‘ They will eat and have some left over.’”

But his servant said,“ How can I set this before a hundred men?” So he repeated,“ Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the Lord,‘ They shall eat and have some left.’”

“ What?” his servant exclaimed.“ Feed a hundred people with only this?” But Elisha repeated,“ Give it to the people so they can eat, for this is what the Lord says: Everyone will eat, and there will even be some left over!”

But Elisha’s attendant asked,“ What? Am I to set this before a hundred men?”“ Give it to the people to eat,” Elisha said,“ for this is what the LORD says:‘ They will eat, and they will have some left over.’”

But his attendant said,“ How am I to serve this to a hundred men?” Nevertheless he said,“ Give them to the people that they may eat, for this is what the Lord says:‘ They shall eat and have some left over.’ ”

But his attendant said,“ How can I feed a hundred men with this?” He replied,“ Set it before the people so they may eat, for this is what the LORD says,‘ They will eat and have some left over.’”

His servant said,“ What, should I set this before a hundred men?” But he said,“ Give the people, that they may eat; for Yahweh says,‘ They will eat, and will have some left over.’”

But He said to them,“ You give them something to eat.” And they said,“ We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people.”

“ There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”

So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained.

“ Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?” And they said,“ Seven.”

But He answered and said to them,“ You give them something to eat.” And they said to Him,“ Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”But He said to them,“ How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they found out they said,“ Five, and two fish.”Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass.

Then His disciples answered Him,“ How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?”

But Jesus said to them,“ They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”And they said to Him,“ We have here only five loaves and two fish.”

And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.So when they were filled, He said to His disciples,“ Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.”Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.

So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.

But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them,“ O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up?

Then His disciples said to Him,“ Where could we get enough bread in the wilderness to fill such a great multitude?”Jesus said to them,“ How many loaves do you have?” And they said,“ Seven, and a few little fish.”
