基哈西告诉王以利沙如何使死人复活，看哪，以利沙所救活的孩子的母亲正为自己的房屋田地来哀求王。基哈西说：“我主我王，这就是那妇人，这是她的儿子，就是以利沙所救活的。”

有人正在埋葬死人，看哪，他们看见一群人来，就把死人抛在以利沙的坟墓里，逃跑了。死人一碰到以利沙的骸骨，就活过来，用脚站了起来。

彼得叫她们都出去，然后跪下祷告，转身对着尸体说：“大比大，起来！”她就睁开眼睛，看见彼得，就坐了起来。

耶和华听了以利亚的呼求，孩子的生命归回给他，他就活了。

于是耶稣进前来，按着杠，抬的人就站住了。耶稣说：“年轻人，我吩咐你，起来！”那死人就坐了起来，开始说话，耶稣就把他交给他的母亲。

以利沙曾对他救活的孩子的母亲说：“你和你的全家要起身，往你可住的地方去住，因为耶和华已令饥荒降在这地七年。”

说了这些话，他大声呼叫说：“拉撒路，出来！”那死了的人就出来了，手脚都裹着布，脸上包着头巾。耶稣对他们说：“解开他，让他走！”

她的灵魂就回来了，她立刻起来。耶稣吩咐给她东西吃。
