他正向王讲述以利沙叫死人复活的事的时候；看哪，以利沙曾救活她的儿子的那妇人来为她的房屋、田产哀求王。基哈西说：“我主我王，这就是那妇人了，她的这个儿子就是以利沙救活的了。”

有人正在埋葬死人的时候，看见一群来侵略的人，他们就把死尸丢在以利沙的坟上，随即走了。死尸碰着以利沙的骨头就复活了，双脚站了起来。

彼得叫大家出去之后，就跪下来祷告，然后转过身来对着尸体说：“戴比莎，起来！”她就睁开眼睛，一看见彼得，就坐了起来。

耶和华垂听了以利亚的话，孩子的生命果然恢复，活过来了。

于是上前按着杠子，抬的人就站住。他说：“青年人，我吩咐你起来！”那死人就坐起来，开口说话，耶稣就把他交给他母亲。

以利沙告诉那妇人（她的儿子曾被以利沙救活），说：“你和你全家要动身，离开这里，住在你可以寄居的地方，因为耶和华宣布了将有饥荒，这饥荒要临到这地七年。”

说了这话，就大声呼喊：“拉撒路，出来！”那死了的人就出来，他的手脚都缠着布，脸上裹着巾。耶稣说：“解开他，让他走！”

她的灵魂回来了，她就立刻起来。耶稣吩咐给她东西吃。
