基哈西正在向王讲述以利沙如何使死人复活的时候，那位书念妇人刚好进宫求见王，基哈西便说：“我主我王，这就是那妇人，这是她那个被以利沙救活的儿子。”

一天，一些以色列人正安葬死人，忽然看见一群摩押入侵者，便连忙把尸体抛进以利沙的坟墓里。那死人碰到以利沙的骸骨，就复活了，并站了起来。

彼得叫她们都出去，自己跪下祷告，然后转身对死者说：“戴碧达，起来！”她便睁开了眼睛，看见彼得，就坐了起来。

耶和华听了以利亚的祈求，孩子就活过来了。

随即上前按住抬尸架，抬的人停了下来。耶稣说：“年轻人，我吩咐你起来！”那死者就坐了起来，并开口说话。耶稣把他交给他母亲。

以利沙曾经救活了一位书念妇人的儿子。他对那妇人说：“你和家人要离开这里去别处寄居，因为耶和华已决定使这里遭受七年饥荒。”

说完，就大声呼喊：“拉撒路，出来！”那死者就出来了，手脚都缠着布条，脸上也包着布。耶稣对他们说：“给他解开，让他走！”

她的灵魂就回来了，她立刻站了起来。耶稣吩咐人给她东西吃。
