Perhaps he is daydreaming, or is relieving himself. Or maybe he is away on a trip, or is asleep and needs to be wakened!”

Then Elijah cried out to the Lord,“ O Lord my God, why have you brought tragedy to this widow who has opened her home to me, causing her son to die?”And he stretched himself out over the child three times and cried out to the Lord,“ O Lord my God, please let this child’s life return to him.”

But Naaman became angry and stalked away.“ I thought he would certainly come out to meet me!” he said.“ I expected him to wave his hand over the leprosy and call on the name of the Lord his God and heal me!

When they arrived at the house, Jesus wouldn’t let anyone go in with him except Peter, John, James, and the little girl’s father and mother.

So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said,“ Father, thank you for hearing me.You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.”

As soon as they had entered Samaria, Elisha prayed,“ O Lord, now open their eyes and let them see.” So the Lord opened their eyes, and they discovered that they were in the middle of Samaria.
