Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or response. So Gehazi went back to meet Elisha and told him,“ The boy has not awakened.”

Gehazi went on ahead. He laid Elisha’s walking stick on the boy’s face. But there wasn’t any sound. The boy didn’t move at all. So Gehazi went back to Elisha. He told him,“ The boy hasn’t awakened.”

Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the face of the child, but there was no sound or sign of life. Therefore he returned to meet him and told him,“ The child has not awakened.”

Gehazi hurried on ahead and laid the staff on the child’s face, but nothing happened. There was no sign of life. He returned to meet Elisha and told him,“ The child is still dead.”

Gehazi went ahead of them and placed the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or sign of life, so he went back to meet Elisha and told him,“ The boy didn’t wake up.”

And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he returned to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.

耶稣说了这些话，随后对他们说：“我们的朋友拉撒路睡了，我去叫醒他。”

说了这些话，他大声呼叫说：“拉撒路，出来！”那死了的人就出来了，手脚都裹着布，脸上包着头巾。耶稣对他们说：“解开他，让他走！”

扫罗求问上帝说：“我可以下去追赶非利士人吗？你把他们交在以色列人手里吗？”这日上帝没有回答他。

他们把所给他们的牛犊预备好了，从早晨到中午，求告巴力的名说：“巴力啊，求你应允我们！”却没有声音，也没有回应。他们就在所筑的坛四围蹦跳。

因为使一切显露出来的就是光。所以有话说：“你这睡着的人醒过来吧！要从死人中复活，基督要光照你了。”

就进到里面，对他们说：“为什么大吵大哭呢？孩子不是死了，是睡着了。”

耶稣回答：“唉！这不信的世代啊，我和你们在一起要到几时呢？我忍耐你们要到几时呢？把他带到我这里！”他们就带了他来。那灵一见耶稣，就使他重重地抽风，倒在地上，翻来覆去，口吐白沫。耶稣问他父亲：“他得这病有多久了呢？”父亲说：“从小的时候。那灵屡次把他扔在火里、水里，要治死他。你若能做什么，求你怜悯我们，帮助我们。”耶稣对他说：“‘你若能’，在信的人，凡事都能。”孩子的父亲立刻喊着说：“我信；求你帮助我的不信！”耶稣看见众人都跑上来，就斥责那污灵说：“你这聋哑的灵，我命令你从他里头出来，再不要进去！”那灵大喊一声，使孩子猛烈地抽了一阵风，就出来了。孩子好像死了一般，以致众人多半说：“他死了。”但耶稣拉着他的手，扶他起来，他就站起来了。耶稣进了屋子，门徒就私下问他：“我们为什么不能赶出那灵呢？”耶稣对他们说：“非用祷告，这一类的邪灵总赶不出来。”

扫罗求问耶和华，耶和华却不藉梦，或乌陵，或先知回答他。

那时，有几个巡回各处念咒赶鬼的犹太人，擅自利用主耶稣的名，向那些被邪灵所附的人说：“我奉保罗所传的耶稣命令你们出来！”做这事的是犹太祭司长士基瓦的七个儿子。但邪灵回答他们：“耶稣我知道，保罗我也认识，你们却是谁呢？”被邪灵所附的人就扑到他们身上，制伏他们，胜过他们，使他们赤着身子，受了伤，从那房子里逃出去了。凡住在以弗所的，无论是犹太人是希腊人，都知道这件事，也都惧怕；主耶稣的名从此就更被尊为大了。

“人子啊，这些人在心中设立偶像，把陷自己于罪的绊脚石放在面前，我真的能让他们求问吗？

我带他到你门徒那里，他们却不能医治他。”耶稣回答：“唉！这又不信又悖谬的世代啊，我和你们在一起要到几时呢？我忍耐你们要到几时呢？把他带到我这里来！”耶稣斥责那鬼，鬼就出来；从那时起，孩子就痊愈了。门徒私下进前来问耶稣：“我们为什么不能赶出那鬼呢？”耶稣对他们说：“是因你们的信心小。我实在告诉你们，你们若有信心像一粒芥菜种，就是对这座山说：‘你从这边移到那边’，它也会移过去，并且你们没有一件不能做的事了。”

睡在地里尘埃中的必有多人醒过来；其中有得永生的，有受羞辱永远被憎恶的。

人一躺下就不再起来，等到诸天没有了，仍不复醒，也不能从睡中唤醒。

中午过去了，他们狂呼乱叫，直到献晚祭的时候，却没有声音，没有回应的，也没有理睬的。
