Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or response. So Gehazi went back to meet Elisha and told him,“ The boy has not awakened.”

Gehazi went on ahead. He laid Elisha’s walking stick on the boy’s face. But there wasn’t any sound. The boy didn’t move at all. So Gehazi went back to Elisha. He told him,“ The boy hasn’t awakened.”

Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the face of the child, but there was no sound or sign of life. Therefore he returned to meet him and told him,“ The child has not awakened.”

Gehazi hurried on ahead and laid the staff on the child’s face, but nothing happened. There was no sign of life. He returned to meet Elisha and told him,“ The child is still dead.”

Gehazi went ahead of them and placed the staff on the boy’s face, but there was no sound or sign of life, so he went back to meet Elisha and told him,“ The boy didn’t wake up.”

And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he returned to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.

耶穌講了這些話，然後對他們說：「我們的朋友拉撒路睡了，我要去叫醒他。」

耶穌說了這些話，就大聲呼喚：「拉撒路，出來！」那死了的人就出來了；手腳纏著布條，臉上包著頭巾。耶穌對他們說：「解開他，讓他走！」

掃羅就求問神：「我可以下去追趕非利士人嗎？你會把他們交在以色列人手中嗎？」那一天，神沒有回應他。

因為使一切成為明顯的，就是光。所以有話說：「醒過來！睡著的人哪，從死人中起來吧！基督就要光照你了！」

耶穌進去對他們說：「為什麼慌亂哭泣呢？孩子不是死了，而是睡了。」

耶穌回答他們，說：「唉，這個不信的世代！我還要和你們在一起多久呢？我還要容忍你們多久呢？把孩子帶到我這裡來吧！」他們就把他帶到耶穌面前來。邪靈一見耶穌，立刻使孩子劇烈地抽瘋，倒在地上打滾，口吐白沫。耶穌問孩子的父親：「這事發生在他身上有多久了？」他回答說：「從小就這樣。邪靈經常把他扔進火裡或水裡，要害死他。但你如果能做什麼，就求你憐憫我們，幫助我們！」耶穌對他說：「『如果你能』？——對信的人，一切都能。」那孩子的父親立刻喊著說：「我信！但我的不信之處，求你幫助！」耶穌看見眾人都跑上來，就斥責那汙靈，說：「你這聾啞的邪靈，我命令你：從他裡面出來，不可再進去！」邪靈喊叫一聲，使孩子劇烈地抽瘋，就出來了。孩子變得像死人那樣，所以許多人說：「他死了。」但是，耶穌握著他的手，扶他起來，他就站起來了。耶穌進了房子，他的門徒們就悄悄地問他：「我們為什麼不能趕出那邪靈呢？」耶穌對他們說：「對這一類的邪靈，如果不藉著禱告和禁食，就不能趕出去。」

掃羅求問耶和華，耶和華卻沒有藉著夢，或烏陵，或先知回應他。

可是有一些四處遊歷的猶太驅魔師，向那些有邪靈附身的人，擅自稱呼主耶穌的名，說：「我藉著保羅所傳的耶穌，吩咐你們出來。」有一個名叫斯克瓦的猶太祭司長，他的七個兒子都在做這種事。邪靈回答他們，說：「耶穌我認識，保羅我也知道！但你們呢？你們是誰？」有邪靈附身的那個人就跳到他們身上，壓制了所有的人，勝過了他們，以致他們赤著身帶著傷，從那房子逃了出去。所有住在以弗所的猶太人和希臘人，都知道了這件事，恐懼就臨到了他們每個人，主耶穌的名因此被尊為大。

我帶他到你的門徒們那裡，可是他們不能使他痊癒。」耶穌回答說：「唉，這個不信、歪曲的世代！我還要與你們在一起多久呢？我還要容忍你們多久呢？把孩子帶到我這裡來吧！」耶穌斥責那鬼魔，鬼魔就從孩子身上出來；從那一刻起，孩子就痊癒了。門徒們悄悄地前來問耶穌：「我們為什麼不能趕出那鬼魔呢？」耶穌回答說：「因為你們小信。我確實地告訴你們：如果你們有像一粒芥菜種子那樣的信仰，就是對這座山說『從這裡移到那裡！』它也將移開；而且在你們，將沒有不可能的事。

睡在塵土中的眾人必醒來：有的得永遠的生命，有的蒙受羞辱，永遠被憎惡。
