Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?

She said,“ Did I ask my master for a son? Didn’t I say,‘ Don’t mislead me?’”

Then he said,“ About this time next year you shall embrace a son.” And she said,“ No, my Lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!”

Now when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister, and said to Jacob,“ Give me children, or else I die!”
