我緘默不開口，因為是你作了的。

雅各說：『他平安麼？』他們說：『平安。你看，他女兒拉結正和羣羊一同來呢。』

說：『我赤身出母腹，也必赤身歸回；永恆主賞賜，永恆主取去；願永恆主的名受祝頌。』在這一切事上、約伯並沒有犯罪，也沒有以上帝為處理失當。

撒母耳就把一切的話都告訴了以利，並沒有向他隱瞞；以利說：『這是永恆主；願他照他所看為好的去行罷了。』

以色列對他說：『你去看看你哥哥們平安不平安，羣羊平安不平安，就帶回話來給我。』於是打發他出希伯崙山谷，他就往示劍去了。

於是摩西對亞倫說：『這就是永恆主告訴我們說的：「在親近我的人中間、我要顯為聖；在各族之民面前、我要得榮耀。」』亞倫默默無言。

對他說：『你跑去告訴那邊那青年人，說：『耶路撒冷準會有人居住，像無城牆的鄉村一樣，因為其中有人和牲口很多。

你們進那一家，要給那家請安；那家若是配得起，你們的平安就會臨到它；若不是配得起，你們的平安自必回歸於你們。
