過了幾天，保羅對巴拿巴說：「來，讓我們回到我們傳過主福音的每一個城，探望弟兄們，看看他們的情況怎麼樣。」

同時也給千夫長帶上這十塊奶酪。你要看看你哥哥們是否平安，帶回來一個他們的信物。

我默然無聲，也不開口，因為這都是你所做的。

雅各接著問他們：「他平安嗎？」他們說：「平安。看哪，他女兒拉結與羊群一同來了！」

於是撒母耳把一切話都告訴了他，沒有向他隱瞞。以利說：「他是耶和華，願他做自己眼中看為好的事吧。」

以色列對他說：「你去看看你哥哥們是否平安，羊群是否平安，然後回來告訴我。」於是他打發約瑟出希伯崙谷，約瑟就往示劍去了。

對他說：「你跑去告訴那少年人說：『耶路撒冷必像無城牆的村鎮那樣住人，因為其中的人和牲畜眾多。

你們進了他家，要祝那家平安。如果那一家是配得的，你們的平安就臨到那一家；如果那家是不配得的，你們的平安就歸回你們。
