以利沙謂其僕曰、告之云、爾既為我思慮周密、我當為爾何為、爾於王、或軍長、有所求乎、婦曰、我居於我民中、安甚、

以利沙告從者曰、爾當告婦曰、爾既為我慮之周密、我當為爾何為、或請於王、或請於軍長。婦曰、我居於民間、無不自得。

以利沙命僕曰、爾告之云、爾既為我思慮周密若此、我當為爾何為、爾於王或軍長有何所求乎、婦曰、我在我民中安居焉、

Elisha said to him,“ Tell her,‘ You have gone to all this trouble for us. Now what can be done for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?’” She replied,“ I have a home among my own people.”

He said to Gehazi,“ Tell her,‘ You have gone to a lot of trouble for us. Now what can we do for you? Can we speak to the king for you? Or can we speak to the commander of the army for you?’ ” She replied,“ I live among my own people. I have everything I need here.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ See, you have taken all this trouble for us; what is to be done for you? Would you have a word spoken on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I dwell among my own people.”

Elisha said to Gehazi,“ Tell her,‘ We appreciate the kind concern you have shown us. What can we do for you? Can we put in a good word for you to the king or to the commander of the army?’”“ No,” she replied,“ my family takes good care of me.”

Then he said to Gehazi,“ Say to her,‘ Look, you’ve gone to all this trouble for us. What can we do for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I am living among my own people.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ Behold, you have taken trouble for us with all this care; what can I do for you? Would you like me to speak for you to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ” But she answered,“ I live among my own people.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I dwell among my own people.”

Then he said to Gehazi,“ Say to her,‘ Look, you’ve gone to all this trouble for us. What can we do for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I am living among my own people.”

He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward: and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you he shall in no wise lose his reward.

The Lord grant mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus: for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain;but, when he was in Rome, he sought me diligently, and found me( the Lord grant unto him to find mercy of the Lord in that day); and in how many things he ministered at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

But we beseech you, brethren, to know them that labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;and to esteem them exceeding highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well- pleasing to God.And my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

But godliness with contentment is great gain:for we brought nothing into the world, for neither can we carry anything out;but having food and covering we shall be therewith content.

Trust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness.

for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.

that ye receive her in the Lord, worthily of the saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever matter she may have need of you: for she herself also hath been a helper of many, and of mine own self.

save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men that went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king with sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and I will sustain thee with me in Jerusalem.And Barzillai said unto the king, How many are the days of the years of my life, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?I am this day fourscore years old: can I discern between good and bad? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?Thy servant would but just go over the Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee.

But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of Jehovah came upon him.And he said, Thus saith Jehovah, Make this valley full of trenches.For thus saith Jehovah, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, and ye shall drink, both ye and your cattle and your beasts.And this is but a light thing in the sight of Jehovah: he will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.

And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats.And into whatsoever house ye enter, there abide, and thence depart.And as many as receive you not, when ye depart from that city, shake off the dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

And a certain man of Beth- lehem- judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Beth- lehem- judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.And Elimelech, Naomi’s husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons.And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelt there about ten years.

And it came to pass at the seven years’ end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.Now the king was talking with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored to life him that was dead, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

And Jehovah will return his blood upon his own head, because he fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, and my father David knew it not, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.
