The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”

The wife of a man from the group of the prophets cried out to Elisha. She said,“ My husband is dead. You know how much respect he had for the Lord. But he owed money to someone. And now that person is coming to take my two boys away. They will become his slaves.”

Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord, but the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”

One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets came to Elisha and cried out,“ My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the Lord. But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.”

One of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha,“ Your servant, my husband, has died. You know that your servant feared the LORD. Now the creditor is coming to take my two children as his slaves.”

Now a woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord; and the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”

A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying,“ Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear Jehovah: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two children to be bondmen.

One of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha,“ Your servant, my husband, has died. You know that your servant feared the Lord. Now the creditor is coming to take my two children as his slaves.”

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

Now a wife of one of the prophets appealed to Elisha for help, saying,“ Your servant, my husband is dead. You know that your servant was a loyal follower of the LORD. Now the creditor is coming to take away my two boys to be his servants.”

Now a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying,“ Your servant my husband is dead. You know that your servant feared Yahweh. Now the creditor has come to take for himself my two children to be slaves.”

伯特利的眾先知出來見以利沙，問他：「你知道耶和華今天要接走你師傅嗎？」他說：「我知道，請不要作聲。」

因為這個人無法清還債款，王就下令把他及其妻兒和所有財產全部賣掉還債。

「如果你們的同胞窮得把自己賣給你們，不可把他當作奴隸，要待他像雇工和寄居者一樣。他要為你工作到禧年。到了禧年，他和孩子們便可以離開你們，回到自己的宗族和祖業。

有的說：「我們和我們的兒女人口眾多，需要糧食來活命。」有的說：「因為饑荒的緣故，我們要將田地、葡萄園和房屋作抵押來獲取糧食。」有的說：「我們要借錢才能繳納王對我們的田地和葡萄園徵收的稅。我們和他們是同胞，我們的孩子就像他們的孩子。但現在我們的兒女要被迫成為僕婢，甚至我們的女兒有些已經淪為奴婢。我們卻無能為力，因為我們的田地和葡萄園已經歸別人了。」

這時從寶座那裡發出聲音，說：「上帝所有的奴僕和一切敬畏祂的人，無論尊卑老少，都要讚美我們的上帝！」

耶和華永永遠遠愛敬畏祂的人，以公義待他們的子子孫孫，

以利沙回到吉甲，那裡正鬧饑荒。一群先知坐在他面前，他吩咐僕人把一口大鍋放在火上給他們煮湯。

如果這地方的居民在安息日或其他聖日帶來貨物和五穀要賣給我們，我們必不購買。我們每逢第七年必不耕種，也必不追討債務。

因為不憐憫人的會受到無情的審判，但憐憫勝過審判。

倘若你們的希伯來同胞賣身做你們的奴隸，服侍你們六年後，到第七年你們要給他們自由。你們的祖先卻掩耳不聽。

亞哈的宮廷總管俄巴底非常敬畏耶和華，耶洗別屠殺耶和華的眾先知時，他救了一百名先知，把他們分別藏在兩個山洞裡，每洞五十人，並供應他們飲食。亞哈召見俄巴底，

以上所說的，總而言之，就是要敬畏上帝，遵守祂的誡命，這是人的本分。

雖然罪人作惡多端仍得長壽，我卻認為敬畏上帝的人必亨通。

如果你們不從心裡饒恕自己的弟兄，我的天父也要這樣對待你們。」

耶和華要賜福給一切敬畏祂的人，不分尊貴卑賤。

而是敬畏祂、仰望祂慈愛的人。

所有受壓迫的、負債的和心懷不滿的人都紛紛來投奔他。大衛就做了他們的首領，跟隨他的有四百多人。

眾先知中有一位奉耶和華的命令對他的同伴說：「你打我吧！」同伴卻不肯動手。

我委任我的兄弟哈拿尼和城堡官員哈拿尼雅治理耶路撒冷，因為哈拿尼雅比眾人更忠心、敬畏上帝。

主啊，誰敢不敬畏你，不尊崇你的名呢？因為只有你是聖潔的，萬民都必到你面前敬拜你，因為你公義的作為已經彰顯出來了。」

你們要讚美耶和華！敬畏耶和華、樂於遵行祂命令的人有福了！他的子孫在世上必興盛，正直人的後代必蒙福。

天使說：「不要動孩子，不可傷害他！現在我知道你敬畏上帝，因為你不惜獻上你的兒子——你的獨生子。」

耶利哥的眾先知來見以利沙，問他：「你知道耶和華今天要接走你師傅嗎？」他說：「我知道，請不要作聲。」

他可以保留贖身的權利。他的兄弟、

因為天離地有多高，祂對敬畏祂之人的愛也多大！

但必有公義的太陽為你們這些敬畏我名的人升起，它的光芒有醫治的能力。你們必像欄中出來的牛犢一樣歡欣跳躍。

「那奴僕卻不肯，竟把同伴送進監獄，直到他還清債務為止。

那時，敬畏耶和華的彼此交談，耶和華必留心傾聽，祂面前的紀念冊上記錄著敬畏祂和尊崇祂名的人。

「弟兄們，各位亞伯拉罕的子孫和敬畏上帝的外族人啊，這救恩之道原是傳給我們的。
