He also sent a message to Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah. Joram said,“ The king of Moab is refusing to obey me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?”“ Yes. I’ll go with you,” Jehoshaphat replied.“ My men will go with you. My horses will also go with you.”

And he went and sent word to Jehoshaphat king of Judah:“ The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to battle against Moab?” And he said,“ I will go. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

On the way, he sent this message to King Jehoshaphat of Judah:“ The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you join me in battle against him?” And Jehoshaphat replied,“ Why, of course! You and I are as one. My troops are your troops, and my horses are your horses.”

Then he sent a message to King Jehoshaphat of Judah:“ The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?” Jehoshaphat said,“ I will go. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

Then he went and sent word to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying,“ The king of Moab has broken away from me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?” And he said,“ I will go up. Consider me yours, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

Then he went and sent to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, saying,“ The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?” And he said,“ I will go up; I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.

Then he sent a message to King Jehoshaphat of Judah:“ The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?” Jehoshaphat said,“ I will go. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I[ am] as thou[ art], my people as thy people,[ and] my horses as thy horses.

He sent this message to King Jehoshaphat of Judah:“ The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you fight with me against Moab?” Jehoshaphat replied,“ I will join you in the campaign; my army and horses are at your disposal.”

He went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying,“ The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me against Moab to battle?” He said,“ I will go up. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

So he asked Jehoshaphat,“ Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel,“ I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

He too followed the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother encouraged him to act wickedly.He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as the house of Ahab had done, for after his father’s death they became his advisers, to his undoing.

Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord is on you.

When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought,“ Surely this is the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him, but when Jehoshaphat cried out,the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel and stopped pursuing him.

When Jehoram established himself firmly over his father’s kingdom, he put all his brothers to the sword along with some of the officials of Israel.Jehoram was thirty- two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years.He followed the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for he married a daughter of Ahab. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.Nevertheless, because of the covenant the Lord had made with David, the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David. He had promised to maintain a lamp for him and his descendants forever.

Ahab king of Israel asked Jehoshaphat king of Judah,“ Will you go with me against Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied,“ I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will join you in the war.”

When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to destroy the whole royal family of the house of Judah.But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes who were about to be murdered and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Because Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and wife of the priest Jehoiada, was Ahaziah’s sister, she hid the child from Athaliah so she could not kill him.He remained hidden with them at the temple of God for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ I will enter the battle in disguise, but you wear your royal robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.Now the king of Aram had ordered his chariot commanders,“ Do not fight with anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel.”When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought,“ This is the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him. God drew them away from him,for when the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel, they stopped pursuing him.
