犯了尼八的儿子耶罗波安所犯的罪；他还以为轻，又娶了西顿王谒巴力的女儿耶洗别为妻，去侍奉敬拜巴力，在撒玛利亚建造巴力的庙，在庙里为巴力筑坛。亚哈又做亚舍拉，他所行的惹耶和华以色列神的怒气，比他以前的以色列诸王更甚。

王后耶洗别来问他说：“你为什么心里这样忧闷，不吃饭呢？”他回答说：“因我向耶斯列人拿伯说：‘你将你的葡萄园给我，我给你价银，或是你愿意，我就把别的葡萄园换给你’；他却说：‘我不将我的葡萄园给你。’”王后耶洗别对亚哈说：“你现在是治理以色列国不是？只管起来，心里畅畅快快地吃饭，我必将耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄园给你。”于是托亚哈的名写信，用王的印印上，送给那些与拿伯同城居住的长老贵胄。信上写着说：“你们当宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民间的高位上，又叫两个匪徒坐在拿伯对面，作见证告他说：‘你谤渎神和王了’；随后就把他拉出去用石头打死。”那些与拿伯同城居住的长老贵胄得了耶洗别的信，就照信而行，宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民间的高位上。有两个匪徒来，坐在拿伯的对面，当着众民作见证告他说：“拿伯谤渎神和王了！”众人就把他拉到城外，用石头打死。于是打发人去见耶洗别，说：“拿伯被石头打死了。”耶洗别听见拿伯被石头打死，就对亚哈说：“你起来得耶斯列人拿伯不肯为价银给你的葡萄园吧！现在他已经死了。”

亚哈对以利亚说：“我仇敌啊，你找到我吗？”他回答说：“我找到你了；因为你卖了自己，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事。

耶户进去，吃了喝了，吩咐说：“你们把这被咒诅的妇人葬埋了，因为她是王的女儿。”

这是因他犯罪，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，行耶罗波安所行的，犯他使以色列人陷在罪里的那罪。

亚们行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，与他父亲玛拿西所行的一样；

你为何没有听从耶和华的命令，急忙掳掠财物，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事呢？”

王说：“我今日若容沙法的儿子以利沙的头仍在他项上，愿神重重地降罚与我！”那时，以利沙正坐在家中，长老也与他同坐。王打发一个伺候他的人去；他还没有到，以利沙对长老说：“你们看这凶手之子，打发人来斩我的头；你们看着使者来到，就关上门，用门将他推出去。在他后头不是有他主人脚步的响声吗？”

约兰见耶户就说：“耶户啊，平安吗？”耶户说：“你母亲耶洗别的淫行邪术这样多，焉能平安呢？”

并使他的儿子经火，又观兆，用法术，立交鬼的和行巫术的，多行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，惹动他的怒气；
