On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Nebuzaradan was an official of the king of Babylon. In fact, he was commander of the royal guard. He came to Jerusalem. It was in the 19th year that Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon. It was on the seventh day of the fifth month.

In the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month— that was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon— Nebuzaradan, the captain of the bodyguard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

On August 14 of that year, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard and an official of the Babylonian king, arrived in Jerusalem.

On the seventh day of the fifth month— which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon— Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guards, a servant of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.

Now on the seventh day of the fifth month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguards, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month( which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem.

On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the royal guard who served the king of Babylon, arrived in Jerusalem.

Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初十，在巴比倫王面前侍立的尼布撒拉旦護衛長進入耶路撒冷，他焚燒了耶和華的殿、王宮和耶路撒冷的房屋；用火焚燒所有大戶人家的房屋。跟隨護衛長的迦勒底全軍拆毀了耶路撒冷四圍的城牆。那時尼布撒拉旦護衛長將百姓中最窮的和城裏所剩下的百姓，並那些投降巴比倫王的人，以及剩下的工匠，都擄去了。但尼布撒拉旦護衛長留下一些當地最窮的人，叫他們修整葡萄園，耕種田地。

耶利米被鏈子鎖在耶路撒冷和猶大被擄到巴比倫的人中，尼布撒拉旦護衛長把他從拉瑪提出來，釋放他以後，耶和華的話臨到耶利米。護衛長提耶利米來，對他說：「耶和華－你的神曾說要降這災禍給此地。耶和華照他所說的做了，已使這災禍臨到；因你們得罪耶和華，不聽從他的話，所以這事臨到你們。看哪，現在我解開你手上的鏈子，你若看與我同往巴比倫去好，就可以去，我必厚待你；你若看與我同往巴比倫去不好，就不必去。看哪，全地在你面前，你以為哪裏美好，哪裏合宜，只管去吧

地上的君王和世上的居民都不信敵人和仇敵竟能進入耶路撒冷的城門。

迦勒底人用火焚燒王宮和百姓的房屋，又拆毀耶路撒冷的城牆。那時，尼布撒拉旦護衛長把城裏所剩下的百姓和投降他的降民，以及其餘的百姓都擄到巴比倫去了。尼布撒拉旦護衛長卻把百姓中一無所有的窮人留在猶大地，當時就賞給他們葡萄園和田地。巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒為了耶利米，囑咐尼布撒拉旦護衛長：「你領他去，好好地看待他，切不可害他；他對你怎麼說，你就向他怎樣做。」尼布撒拉旦護衛長和尼布沙斯班將軍、尼甲‧沙利薛將軍，並巴比倫王眾官長，派人把耶利米從護衛兵的院中提出來，交給沙番的孫子，亞希甘的兒子基大利，讓他自由進出屋子；於是耶利米住在百姓中間。

巴比倫王以未‧米羅達作王的元年，就是猶大王約雅斤被擄後三十七年，十二月二十七日，他使猶大王約雅斤抬起頭來，提他出監，

「萬軍之耶和華如此說：四月的禁食、五月的禁食、七月的禁食和十月的禁食，必成為猶大家的歡喜和快樂，以及美好的節期；所以你們要喜愛誠實與和平。

猶大王約雅斤和他母親、臣僕、王子、官員一同出來，向巴比倫王投降。巴比倫王俘擄了他，那時是巴比倫王第八年。
