於是穴城、戰士由附近王囿兩垣間之門夜遁、迦勒底人環城、王由亞拉巴道而走、

迦勒底人環攻其城而陷之、武士由門旁夾道、近於王囿、夤夜而遁、士卒四散、王望坦途而往、迦勒底軍追襲其後、至耶利哥之坦途、

於是城破、王與諸戰士、由近王園兩城中之門、夜逃遁、迦勒底人在城四圍、王由平原平原或作亞拉巴下同而走、

Then the city wall was broken through, and the whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden, though the Babylonians were surrounding the city. They fled toward the Arabah,

Then the Babylonians broke through the city wall. Judah’s whole army ran away at night. They went out through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden. They escaped even though the Babylonians surrounded the city. Judah’s army ran toward the Arabah Valley.

Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by the king’s garden, and the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the Arabah.

Then a section of the city wall was broken down. Since the city was surrounded by the Babylonians, the soldiers waited for nightfall and escaped through the gate between the two walls behind the king’s garden. Then they headed toward the Jordan Valley.

Then the city was broken into, and all the warriors fled at night by way of the city gate between the two walls near the king’s garden, even though the Chaldeans surrounded the city. As the king made his way along the route to the Arabah,

我們被擄後第十二年的十月初五，有人從耶路撒冷逃到我這裏，說：「城已被攻破。」

迦勒底的軍隊追趕王，在耶利哥的平原追上他；他的全軍都離開他潰散了。

四月初九，城裏的饑荒非常嚴重，當地的百姓都沒有糧食。城被攻破，士兵全都在夜間從靠近王園兩城牆中間的門逃跑出城；迦勒底人正在四圍攻城，他們就往亞拉巴逃去。迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全軍都離開他潰散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到哈馬地利比拉的巴比倫王那裏；巴比倫王就判他的罪。巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的兒女，又在利比拉殺了猶大全體的官長，並且挖了西底家的眼睛，用銅鏈鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去，將他囚在監裏，直到他死的日子。

餓死人的饑荒、灼人的熱症、痛苦的災害。我要叫野獸用牙齒咬他們，叫土中爬行的用毒液害他們。外有刀劍使人喪亡，內有驚恐，少男少女是如此，吃奶的、白髮的也是如此。

管理米斯巴區、各‧荷西的兒子沙崙修造泉門；他立門，蓋門頂，安門扇，裝閂和鎖，又修造靠近王的花園西羅亞池的城牆，直到那從大衛城下來的臺階。

他們中間的君王也必在天黑時把物件背在肩上帶走。他們要挖通牆壁，從其中帶出去。他必蒙住臉，眼看不見地。

我要向你們變臉，使你們敗在仇敵的面前。恨惡你們的必管轄你們；無人追趕，你們卻要逃跑。

西底家十一年四月初九日，城被攻破。耶路撒冷被攻下的時候，巴比倫王的眾官長，尼甲‧沙利薛、三甲‧尼波、撒西金將軍、尼甲‧沙利薛將軍，並巴比倫王其餘的官長都來坐在中門。猶大王西底家和所有士兵看見他們，就在夜間從靠近王的花園、兩城牆中間的門逃跑出城，往亞拉巴逃去。迦勒底的軍隊追趕他們，在耶利哥的平原追上西底家，將他逮住，帶到哈馬地的利比拉、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒那裏；尼布甲尼撒就判他的罪。在利比拉，巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的兒女；巴比倫王又殺了猶大所有的貴族，並且挖了西底家的眼睛，用銅鏈鎖住他，要帶到巴比倫去。

若非他們的磐石賣了他們，若非耶和華交出他們，一人豈能追趕千人，二人焉能使萬人逃跑呢？

你們要上去毀壞它的葡萄園，但不可毀壞淨盡，只可除掉其枝子，因為不屬耶和華。

「耶和華必使你在仇敵面前潰敗。你從一條路去攻擊他們，必從七條路逃跑。地上萬國必因你而驚駭。

至於你們倖存的人，我要使他們在敵人之地心中驚慌，甚至風吹落葉的聲音也把他們嚇跑。他們要逃避，像人逃避刀劍，雖無人追趕，卻要跌倒。
