於是穴城、戰士由附近王囿兩垣間之門夜遁、迦勒底人環城、王由亞拉巴道而走、

迦勒底人環攻其城而陷之、武士由門旁夾道、近於王囿、夤夜而遁、士卒四散、王望坦途而往、迦勒底軍追襲其後、至耶利哥之坦途、

於是城破、王與諸戰士、由近王園兩城中之門、夜逃遁、迦勒底人在城四圍、王由平原平原或作亞拉巴下同而走、

Then the city wall was broken through, and the whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden, though the Babylonians were surrounding the city. They fled toward the Arabah,

Then the Babylonians broke through the city wall. Judah’s whole army ran away at night. They went out through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden. They escaped even though the Babylonians surrounded the city. Judah’s army ran toward the Arabah Valley.

Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by the king’s garden, and the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the Arabah.

Then a section of the city wall was broken down. Since the city was surrounded by the Babylonians, the soldiers waited for nightfall and escaped through the gate between the two walls behind the king’s garden. Then they headed toward the Jordan Valley.

我們被擄之後十二年十月初五日，有人從耶路撒冷逃到我這裏，說：「城已攻破。」

四月初九日，城裏有大饑荒，甚至百姓都沒有糧食。城被攻破，一切兵丁就在夜間從靠近王園兩城中間的門，出城逃跑；迦勒底人正在四圍攻城。他們就往亞拉巴逃去。迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全軍都離開他四散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到在哈馬地利比拉的巴比倫王那裏；巴比倫王便審判他。巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，又在利比拉殺了猶大的一切首領，並且剜了西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去，將他囚在監裏，直到他死的日子。

他們必因飢餓消瘦，被炎熱苦毒吞滅。我要打發野獸用牙齒咬他們，並土中腹行的，用毒氣害他們。外頭有刀劍，內室有驚恐，使人喪亡，使少男、童女、吃奶的、白髮的，盡都滅絕。

管理米斯巴、各荷西的兒子沙崙修造泉門，立門，蓋門頂，安門扇和閂鎖，又修造靠近王園西羅亞池的牆垣，直到那從大衛城下來的臺階。

他們中間的君王也必在天黑的時候將物件搭在肩頭上帶出去。他們要挖通了牆，從其中帶出去。他必蒙住臉，眼看不見地。

我要向你們變臉，你們就要敗在仇敵面前。恨惡你們的，必轄管你們；無人追趕，你們卻要逃跑。

西底家十一年四月初九日，城被攻破。耶路撒冷被攻取的時候，巴比倫王的首領尼甲‧沙利薛、三甲‧尼波、撒西金－拉撒力、尼甲‧沙利薛－拉墨，並巴比倫王其餘的一切首領都來坐在中門。猶大王西底家和一切兵丁看見他們，就在夜間從靠近王園兩城中間的門出城逃跑，往亞拉巴逃去。迦勒底的軍隊追趕他們，在耶利哥的平原追上西底家，將他拿住，帶到哈馬地的利比拉、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒那裏；尼布甲尼撒就審判他。巴比倫王在利比拉、西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，又殺了猶大的一切貴冑，並且剜西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖着他，要帶到巴比倫去。

若不是他們的磐石賣了他們，若不是耶和華交出他們，一人焉能追趕他們千人？二人焉能使萬人逃跑呢？

你們要上她葡萄園的牆施行毀壞，但不可毀壞淨盡，只可除掉她的枝子，因為不屬耶和華。

「耶和華必使你敗在仇敵面前，你從一條路去攻擊他們，必從七條路逃跑。你必在天下萬國中拋來拋去。

至於你們剩下的人，我要使他們在仇敵之地心驚膽怯。葉子被風吹的響聲，要追趕他們；他們要逃避，像人逃避刀劍，無人追趕，卻要跌倒。
