迦勒底人環攻其城而陷之、武士由門旁夾道、近於王囿、夤夜而遁、士卒四散、王望坦途而往、迦勒底軍追襲其後、至耶利哥之坦途、

於是城破、王與諸戰士、由近王園兩城中之門、夜逃遁、迦勒底人在城四圍、王由平原平原或作亞拉巴下同而走、

Then the city wall was broken through, and the whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden, though the Babylonians were surrounding the city. They fled toward the Arabah,

Then the Babylonians broke through the city wall. Judah’s whole army ran away at night. They went out through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden. They escaped even though the Babylonians surrounded the city. Judah’s army ran toward the Arabah Valley.

Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by the king’s garden, and the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the Arabah.

Then a section of the city wall was broken down. Since the city was surrounded by the Babylonians, the soldiers waited for nightfall and escaped through the gate between the two walls behind the king’s garden. Then they headed toward the Jordan Valley.

四月九日，城里饥荒非常严重，甚至那地的人民都断了粮食。城终于被攻破了，所有的战士就在夜间从靠近王的花园的两墙中间的那门，逃跑出城。那时迦勒底人在四围攻城；他们就往亚拉巴的方向逃走。迦勒底人的军队追赶，在耶利哥的原野上把西底家追上了；他的全军都离开他四散了。他们把王擒住，把他解到哈马地的利比拉巴比伦王那里；他就宣判他的罪。巴比伦王在利比拉，当着西底家眼前杀了他的众子，也杀了犹大所有的领袖，并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎，然后用铜链锁住他。巴比伦王把他带到巴比伦去，关在牢里，直到他去世的日子。

他们必因饥荒消瘦，被热病和毒症消灭；我也要打发野兽用牙齿咬他们，和土中的蛇类用毒液害他们。外有刀剑，内有惊恐，使人丧亡，使少男少女，婴孩和白发老人，尽都丧亡。

管理米斯巴的区长各荷西的儿子沙仑修筑泉门。他重建那门，加盖门顶，装上门扇、门插和门闩；又重建靠近王园的西罗亚池的城墙，直到从大卫城下来的台阶。

他们中间的君王必在天黑的时候，把东西扛在肩头上，从他们挖穿的墙带出去；他必蒙住自己的脸，不能看见这地。

我向你们变脸，你们就败在仇敌面前；恨恶你们的要管辖你们；虽然没有人追赶，你们仍然逃跑。

西底家第十一年四月九日，城被攻破。巴比伦王所有的将领：尼甲．沙利薛、三甲．尼波、大臣（“大臣”的本意不明确）撒西金、术士长（“术士长”的本意不明确）尼甲．沙利薛，以及巴比伦王所有其余的将领，都进城，坐在中门。犹大王西底家和所有的军兵看见了他们，就逃跑，在夜间逃出城外，经过王的花园，穿过两道城墙中间的门，直往亚拉巴的路上走去。但迦勒底人的军队追赶他们，在耶利哥的原野上追上了西底家，把他拿住，带到哈马地的利比拉去见巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒；尼布甲尼撒就宣判他的罪状。巴比伦王在利比拉，当着西底家眼前杀了他的众子；巴比伦王也杀了犹大所有的显贵，并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎了，用铜链锁住他，把他带到巴比伦去。

如果不是他们的磐石把他们出卖了，如果不是耶和华把他们交出来，一人怎能追赶一千人，二人怎能使万人逃跑呢？

“你们要走进她的葡萄园（“葡萄园”原文作“葡萄树的行列”）里施行毁坏，但不可毁灭净尽，要除掉她的枝子，因为它们不属耶和华。

耶和华必使你在仇敌面前被击败；你从一条路出去攻击他们，必在他们面前从七条路逃跑；你必成为天下万国惊骇的对象。

至于你们剩下的人，我必使他们在仇敌之地胆战心惊；风吹落叶也会吓跑他们；他们必逃跑，好像逃避刀剑一样；虽然无人追赶，他们却跌倒。
