迦勒底人環攻其城而陷之、武士由門旁夾道、近於王囿、夤夜而遁、士卒四散、王望坦途而往、迦勒底軍追襲其後、至耶利哥之坦途、

於是城破、王與諸戰士、由近王園兩城中之門、夜逃遁、迦勒底人在城四圍、王由平原平原或作亞拉巴下同而走、

Then the city wall was broken through, and the whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden, though the Babylonians were surrounding the city. They fled toward the Arabah,

Then the Babylonians broke through the city wall. Judah’s whole army ran away at night. They went out through the gate between the two walls near the king’s garden. They escaped even though the Babylonians surrounded the city. Judah’s army ran toward the Arabah Valley.

Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by the king’s garden, and the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the Arabah.

Then a section of the city wall was broken down. Since the city was surrounded by the Babylonians, the soldiers waited for nightfall and escaped through the gate between the two walls behind the king’s garden. Then they headed toward the Jordan Valley.

那年四月九日，城裡饑荒非常嚴重，百姓無糧可吃。城被攻破，西底迦和士兵便在夜間穿過御花園，從兩城牆中間的門逃往亞拉巴。當時迦勒底人仍四面包圍著城。迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底迦，在耶利哥平原追上了他。他的軍隊都四散而逃。迦勒底人擒住西底迦，把他押到哈馬的利比拉去見巴比倫王。巴比倫王在那裡審判他，當著他的面殺了他的眾子和猶大所有的首領，又剜去他的雙眼，用銅鏈鎖著他押往巴比倫，將他終生囚在牢裡。

他們必飽受饑荒之苦，被瘟疫和災禍吞噬，被猛獸和毒蛇襲擊。外有刀劍殺戮，內有恐懼籠罩，少男、少女、嬰兒、老人無一倖免。

各荷西的兒子、管理米斯巴的沙崙修築泉門，修好後蓋上門頂，安上門，裝上門閂和門鎖。他還從靠近御花園的西羅亞池的城牆，一直修到大衛城下來的臺階處。

他們當中的首領必在黑夜背著行裝出發，在牆上挖洞鑽出去，而且必蒙著臉，看不見地。

我要嚴懲你們，使你們敗在敵人手下；你們要被那些恨你們的人統治，即使沒有人追趕，你們也要逃命。

西底迦執政第十一年四月九日，耶路撒冷淪陷。尼甲·沙利薛、三甲·尼波、撒西金和另一個尼甲·沙利薛等巴比倫王的所有將領都進城坐在中門。猶大王西底迦和所有軍兵見勢不妙，便在夜間穿過御花園，從兩城牆中間的門逃往亞拉巴。但迦勒底的軍隊追上來，在耶利哥的平原擒住西底迦，把他帶到哈馬的利比拉去見巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，接受審判。巴比倫王在利比拉當著西底迦的面殺了他的眾子和猶大所有的貴族，並且挖去他的雙眼，把他用銅鏈鎖著帶到巴比倫。

若不是他們的磐石賣掉他們，若不是耶和華拋棄他們，一人怎能趕散他們千人？二人怎能擊潰他們萬人？

你們要去毀壞她的葡萄園，但不可徹底毀壞。要砍掉枝子，因為那些枝子不屬於耶和華。

「祂要使你們被敵人擊敗、潰不成軍、四散逃命，下場令天下萬國驚懼。

「我要使你們當中的那些倖存者在敵國心驚膽戰，過著風聲鶴唳、惶恐不安的生活。
