又对他说恩言，使他的位高过与他一同在巴比伦众王的位，

对他说好话，使他的位高过与他一同被掳在巴比伦众王的位；

对他说好话，使他的位高过与他一同被掳在巴比伦众王的位；

并好言相待，使他的地位高过被掳到巴比伦的其他各王。

并且安慰他，使他的地位高过和他一起在巴比伦的众王。

使其易衣、待之以恩、賜座高出於同在巴比倫列王之右、每食與共、以畢其生、

易其囚服、以善言慰之、賜之以位、高於同在巴比倫諸王之位、使之終身食於王席、

He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat of honor higher than those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.

Awel- Marduk spoke kindly to Jehoiachin. He gave him a place of honor. Other kings were with Jehoiachin in Babylon. But his place was more important than theirs.

As for you, O king, the most high God bestowed on your father Nebuchadnezzar a kingdom, greatness, honor, and majesty.Due to the greatness that he bestowed on him, all peoples, nations, and language groups were trembling with fear before him. He killed whom he wished, he spared whom he wished, he exalted whom he wished, and he brought low whom he wished.

“ You, O king, are the king of kings. The God of heaven has granted you sovereignty, power, strength, and honor.

I have at this time placed all these nations of yours under the power of my servant, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. I have even made all the wild animals subject to him.All nations must serve him and his son and grandson until the time comes for his own nation to fall. Then many nations and great kings will in turn subjugate Babylon.But suppose a nation or a kingdom will not be subject to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Suppose it will not submit to the yoke of servitude to him. I, the LORD, affirm that I will punish that nation. I will use the king of Babylon to punish it with war, starvation, and disease until I have destroyed it.So do not listen to your prophets or to those who claim to predict the future by divination, by dreams, by consulting the dead, or by practicing magic. They keep telling you,‘ You do not need to be subject to the king of Babylon.’Do not listen to them, because their prophecies are lies. Listening to them will only cause you to be taken far away from your native land. I will drive you out of your country and you will die in exile.Things will go better for the nation that submits to the yoke of servitude to the king of Babylon and is subject to him. I will leave that nation in its native land. Its people can continue to farm it and live in it. I, the LORD, affirm it!”’”
