Indeed, this happened to Judah at the LORD’s command to remove them from his presence. It was because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all he had done,

这祸临到犹大人，诚然是耶和华所命的，要将他们从自己面前赶出，是因玛拿西所犯的一切罪；

這事臨到了猶大人實在是由於永恆主所命定、要遷徙他們離開自己面前；是因瑪拿西的罪、照他一切所犯的，

此事臨及猶大、乃耶和華所命、以屏之於其前、因瑪拿西所犯諸罪也、

緣馬拿西犯罪、屢殺不辜、血流遍耶路撒冷、耶和華弗赦、降災於猶大族、而驅逐之。

猶大遘此災、乃由主所命、欲除之於其前、皆因瑪拿西所作之罪惡、

Surely these things happened to Judah according to the Lord’s command, in order to remove them from his presence because of the sins of Manasseh and all he had done,

These things happened to Judah in keeping with what the Lord had commanded. He brought enemies against his people in order to remove them from his land. He removed them because of all the sins Manasseh had committed.

Surely this came upon Judah at the command of the Lord, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done,

These disasters happened to Judah because of the Lord’s command. He had decided to banish Judah from his presence because of the many sins of Manasseh,

It indeed came upon Judah at the command of the Lord, to remove them from His sight due to the sins of Manasseh, in accordance with everything that he had done,

Surely at the commandment of the Lord this came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done,

Surely at the commandment of Jehovah came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,

Indeed, this happened to Judah at the Lord’s command to remove them from His sight. It was because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all he had done,

Surely at the commandment of the LORD came[ this] upon Judah, to remove[ them] out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;

Just as the LORD had announced, he rejected Judah because of all the sins which Manasseh had committed.

Surely at the commandment of Yahweh this came on Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,

Now, have I attacked this place to destroy it without the LORD’s approval? The LORD said to me,‘ Attack this land and destroy it.’”

Do not bow in worship to them, and do not serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me,

He did what was evil in the LORD’s sight, imitating the detestable practices of the nations that the LORD had dispossessed before the Israelites.He rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had destroyed and reestablished the altars for Baal. He made an Asherah, as King Ahab of Israel had done; he also bowed in worship to all the stars in the sky and served them.He built altars in the LORD’s temple, where the LORD had said,“ Jerusalem is where I will put my name.”He built altars to all the stars in the sky in both courtyards of the LORD’s temple.He sacrificed his son in the fire, practiced witchcraft and divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did a huge amount of evil in the LORD’s sight, angering him.Manasseh set up the carved image of Asherah, which he made, in the temple that the LORD had spoken about to David and his son Solomon:“ I will establish my name forever in this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel.I will never again cause the feet of the Israelites to wander from the land I gave to their ancestors if only they will be careful to do all I have commanded them— the whole law that my servant Moses commanded them.”But they did not listen; Manasseh caused them to stray so that they did worse evil than the nations the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.The LORD said through his servants the prophets,“ Since King Manasseh of Judah has committed all these detestable acts— worse evil than the Amorites who preceded him had done— and by means of his idols has also caused Judah to sin,

I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: my plan will take place, and I will do all my will.I call a bird of prey from the east, a man for my purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken; so I will also bring it about. I have planned it; I will also do it.

While he was still speaking to him, the king asked,“ Have we made you the king’s counselor? Stop, why should you lose your life?” So the prophet stopped, but he said,“ I know that God intends to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my advice.”

I form light and create darkness, I make success and create disaster; I am the LORD, who does all these things.

In spite of all that, the LORD did not turn from the fury of his intense burning anger, which burned against Judah because of all the affronts with which Manasseh had angered him.For the LORD had said,“ I will also remove Judah from my presence just as I have removed Israel. I will reject this city Jerusalem, that I have chosen, and the temple about which I said,‘ My name will be there.’”

You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result— the survival of many people.

The LORD uprooted them from their land in his anger, rage, and intense wrath, and threw them into another land where they are today.’

But I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw a sword to chase after you. So your land will become desolate, and your cities will become ruins.“ Then the land will make up for its Sabbath years during the time it lies desolate, while you are in the land of your enemies. At that time the land will rest and make up for its Sabbaths.As long as it lies desolate, it will have the rest it did not have during your Sabbaths when you lived there.

Get up and leave, for this is not your place of rest because defilement brings destruction— a grievous destruction!

Woe to Assyria, the rod of my anger— the staff in their hands is my wrath.I will send him against a godless nation; I will command him to go against a people destined for my rage, to take spoils, to plunder, and to trample them down like clay in the streets.

Just as the LORD was glad to cause you to prosper and to multiply you, so he will also be glad to cause you to perish and to destroy you. You will be ripped out of the land you are entering to possess.

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that you will quickly perish from the land you are about to cross the Jordan to possess. You will not live long there, but you will certainly be destroyed.The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be reduced to a few survivors among the nations where the LORD your God will drive you.

If a ram’s horn is blown in a city, aren’t people afraid? If a disaster occurs in a city, hasn’t the LORD done it?

Then the LORD said to me,“ Even if Moses and Samuel should stand before me, my compassions would not reach out to these people. Send them from my presence, and let them go.If they ask you,‘ Where will we go?’ tell them: This is what the LORD says: Those destined for death, to death; those destined for the sword, to the sword. Those destined for famine, to famine; those destined for captivity, to captivity.“ I will ordain four kinds of judgment for them”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ the sword to kill, the dogs to drag away, and the birds of the sky and the wild animals of the land to devour and destroy.I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of Manasseh son of Hezekiah, the king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem.

Although the Aramean army came with only a few men, the LORD handed over a vast army to them because the people of Judah had abandoned the LORD, the God of their ancestors. So they executed judgment on Joash.

Since every good thing the LORD your God promised you has come about, so he will bring on you every bad thing until he has annihilated you from this good land the LORD your God has given you.
