He carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans— a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.

Nebuchadnezzar took all the people of Jerusalem to the land of Babylon as prisoners. That included all the officers and fighting men. It also included all the skilled workers. The total number of prisoners was 10,000. Only the poorest people were left in the land.

He carried away all Jerusalem and all the officials and all the mighty men of valor, 10,000 captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None remained, except the poorest people of the land.

King Nebuchadnezzar took all of Jerusalem captive, including all the commanders and the best of the soldiers, craftsmen, and artisans— 10,000 in all. Only the poorest people were left in the land.

He deported all Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the best soldiers— ten thousand captives including all the craftsmen and metalsmiths. Except for the poorest people of the land, no one remained.

使王國衰弱，不再強盛，只能靠守盟約方得生存。

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒將約雅敬的兒子猶大王耶哥尼雅和猶大的領袖，並工匠、鐵匠從耶路撒冷擄去，帶到巴比倫。這事以後，耶和華指給我看，看哪，有兩筐無花果放在耶和華殿前。一筐是極好的無花果，像是初熟的；一筐是極壞的無花果，壞得不能吃。耶和華對我說：「耶利米，你看見甚麼？」我說：「我看見無花果，好的極好，壞的極壞，壞得不能吃。」於是耶和華的話臨到我，說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：『被擄去的猶大人，就是我所打發離開這地到迦勒底人之地去的，我必看顧他們如這好的無花果，使他們得福樂。

西弗人上基比亞到掃羅那裏，說：「大衛不是在我們那裏，在樹林裏的山寨中，在荒野南邊的哈基拉山藏着嗎？現在，王啊，請隨你的心願要下來，就請下來；至於我們，一定會把他交在王的手裏。」掃羅說：「願耶和華賜福給你們，因為你們體恤我。請你們回去，再確定一下，調查並看清楚他落腳的地方，是誰看見他在那裏，因為有人告訴我他很狡猾。

這是在耶哥尼雅王和太后、太監，並猶大和耶路撒冷的領袖，以及工匠、鐵匠都離開耶路撒冷之後。

尼布撒拉旦護衛長卻把百姓中一無所有的窮人留在猶大地，當時就賞給他們葡萄園和田地。

約雅斤登基的時候年八歲，在耶路撒冷作王三個月十天，他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事。過了一年，尼布甲尼撒王差遣人將約雅斤和耶和華殿裏寶貴的器皿帶到巴比倫，然後立約雅斤的叔父西底家作猶大和耶路撒冷的王。
