King Nebuchadnezzar took all of Jerusalem captive, including all the commanders and the best of the soldiers, craftsmen, and artisans— 10,000 in all. Only the poorest people were left in the land.

俘耶路撒冷群臣居民、豪傑之士、工作之輩、計一萬人、所遺者惟貧乏之人而已。

又將耶路撒冷之民眾、諸牧伯、諸有勇之戰士、並一切工匠及鐵工、計一萬人、悉擄之去、所遺者惟貧民而已、

He carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans— a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.

Nebuchadnezzar took all the people of Jerusalem to the land of Babylon as prisoners. That included all the officers and fighting men. It also included all the skilled workers. The total number of prisoners was 10,000. Only the poorest people were left in the land.

He carried away all Jerusalem and all the officials and all the mighty men of valor, 10,000 captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None remained, except the poorest people of the land.

He deported all Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the best soldiers— ten thousand captives including all the craftsmen and metalsmiths. Except for the poorest people of the land, no one remained.

Then he led into exile all the people of Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the valiant warriors, ten thousand exiles, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None were left except the poorest people of the land.

Also he carried into captivity all Jerusalem: all the captains and all the mighty men of valor, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths. None remained except the poorest people of the land.

And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.

He deported all the residents of Jerusalem, including all the officials and all the soldiers( 10,000 people in all). This included all the craftsmen and those who worked with metal. No one was left except for the poorest among the people of the land.

He carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. No one remained, except the poorest people of the land.

But the captain of the guard allowed some of the poorest people to stay behind to care for the vineyards and fields.

The number of captives taken to Babylon in the seventh year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign was 3,023.

He also exiled 7,000 of the best troops and 1,000 craftsmen and artisans, all of whom were strong and fit for war.

On July 31 of my thirtieth year, while I was with the Judean exiles beside the Kebar River in Babylon, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.This happened during the fifth year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity.

The leaders of the Judean military groups in the countryside heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam as governor over the poor people who were left behind in Judah— the men, women, and children who hadn’t been exiled to Babylon.

so Israel would not become strong again and revolt. Only by keeping her treaty with Babylon could Israel survive.

But Nebuzaradan allowed some of the poorest people to stay behind to care for the vineyards and fields.

After King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon exiled Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, to Babylon along with the officials of Judah and all the craftsmen and artisans, the Lord gave me this vision. I saw two baskets of figs placed in front of the Lord’s Temple in Jerusalem.One basket was filled with fresh, ripe figs, while the other was filled with bad figs that were too rotten to eat.Then the Lord said to me,“ What do you see, Jeremiah?” I replied,“ Figs, some very good and some very bad, too rotten to eat.”Then the Lord gave me this message:“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: The good figs represent the exiles I sent from Judah to the land of the Babylonians.

But now the men of Ziph went to Saul in Gibeah and betrayed David to him.“ We know where David is hiding,” they said.“ He is in the strongholds of Horesh on the hill of Hakilah, which is in the southern part of Jeshimon.Come down whenever you’re ready, O king, and we will catch him and hand him over to you!”“ The Lord bless you,” Saul said.“ At last someone is concerned about me!Go and check again to be sure of where he is staying and who has seen him there, for I know that he is very crafty.

This was after King Jehoiachin, the queen mother, the court officials, the other officials of Judah, and all the craftsmen and artisans had been deported from Jerusalem.

But Nebuzaradan allowed some of the poorest people to stay behind in the land of Judah, and he assigned them to care for the vineyards and fields.

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months and ten days. Jehoiachin did what was evil in the Lord’s sight.In the spring of the year King Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin to Babylon. Many treasures from the Temple of the Lord were also taken to Babylon at that time. And Nebuchadnezzar installed Jehoiachin’s uncle, Zedekiah, as the next king in Judah and Jerusalem.
