And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour,[ even] ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.

又將耶路撒冷之民眾、諸牧伯、諸有勇之戰士、並一切工匠及鐵工、計一萬人、悉擄之去、所遺者惟貧民而已、

He carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans— a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.

Nebuchadnezzar took all the people of Jerusalem to the land of Babylon as prisoners. That included all the officers and fighting men. It also included all the skilled workers. The total number of prisoners was 10,000. Only the poorest people were left in the land.

He carried away all Jerusalem and all the officials and all the mighty men of valor, 10,000 captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None remained, except the poorest people of the land.

King Nebuchadnezzar took all of Jerusalem captive, including all the commanders and the best of the soldiers, craftsmen, and artisans— 10,000 in all. Only the poorest people were left in the land.

He deported all Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the best soldiers— ten thousand captives including all the craftsmen and metalsmiths. Except for the poorest people of the land, no one remained.

Then he led into exile all the people of Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the valiant warriors, ten thousand exiles, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None were left except the poorest people of the land.

Also he carried into captivity all Jerusalem: all the captains and all the mighty men of valor, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths. None remained except the poorest people of the land.

But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land[ to be] vinedressers and husbandmen.

This[ is] the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:

And all the men of might,[ even] seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all[ that were] strong[ and] apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth[ month], in the fifth[ day] of the month, as I[ was] among the captives by the river of Chebar,[ that] the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.In the fifth[ day] of the month, which[ was] the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity,

Now when all the captains of the forces which[ were] in the fields,[ even] they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up,[ but] that by keeping of his covenant it might stand.

But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left[ certain] of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.

The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs[ were] set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.One basket[ had] very good figs,[ even] like the figs[ that are] first ripe: and the other basket[ had] very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for[ their] good.

Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in strong holds in the wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which[ is] on the south of Jeshimon?Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part[ shall be] to deliver him into the king’s hand.And Saul said, Blessed[ be] ye of the LORD; for ye have compassion on me.Go, I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is,[ and] who hath seen him there: for it is told me[ that] he dealeth very subtilly.

( After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)

But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

Jehoiachin[ was] eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did[ that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD.And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.
