He carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans— a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.

Nebuchadnezzar took all the people of Jerusalem to the land of Babylon as prisoners. That included all the officers and fighting men. It also included all the skilled workers. The total number of prisoners was 10,000. Only the poorest people were left in the land.

He carried away all Jerusalem and all the officials and all the mighty men of valor, 10,000 captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None remained, except the poorest people of the land.

King Nebuchadnezzar took all of Jerusalem captive, including all the commanders and the best of the soldiers, craftsmen, and artisans— 10,000 in all. Only the poorest people were left in the land.

He deported all Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the best soldiers— ten thousand captives including all the craftsmen and metalsmiths. Except for the poorest people of the land, no one remained.

躲在鄉村的猶大將領和士兵聽說巴比倫王委任亞希甘的兒子基大利管理猶大的窮人，就是沒有被擄到巴比倫的男女婦孺，

使猶大國臣服於他，無法圖強，只能遵守盟約，以求生存。

只留下一些最貧窮的人，讓他們照料葡萄園、耕種田地。

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷把猶大王約雅敬的兒子耶哥尼雅、猶大的官員、技工和工匠擄到巴比倫以後，耶和華使我看見兩筐無花果放在祂的殿前。一筐無花果極好，好像初熟的果子；另一筐則壞得不能吃。耶和華問我：「耶利米啊，你看見什麼？」我回答說：「無花果。好的好極了，壞的壞得不能吃。」耶和華便對我說：「以色列的上帝耶和華這樣說，『那些從這裡被擄到迦勒底的猶大人在我眼中是好無花果。

西弗人去基比亞見掃羅，說：「大衛就躲在我們那裡，在曠野南面哈基拉山上何利沙的堡壘裡。王啊，你隨時都可以下來，我們一定把他交在王的手裡。」掃羅說：「願耶和華賜福給你們！因為你們體恤我。我聽說他非常狡猾，你們再回去弄清楚他的行蹤，誰在那裡見過他，

卻讓那些一貧如洗的窮人留在猶大，將葡萄園和田地分給他們。

約雅斤十八歲登基，在耶路撒冷執政三個月零十天。他做耶和華視為惡的事。那年春天，尼布甲尼撒王派人把他和耶和華殿裡的貴重器皿一同帶到巴比倫。尼布甲尼撒另立約雅斤的叔叔西底迦做猶大和耶路撒冷的王。
