Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.

Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, handed himself over to Nebuchadnezzar. Jehoiachin’s mother did the same thing. And so did all his attendants, nobles and officials. The king of Babylon took Jehoiachin away as his prisoner. It was in the eighth year of Nebuchadnezzar’s rule.

约西亚的儿子犹大王约雅敬第四年，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的元年，耶和华论犹大众百姓的话临到耶利米。

“你要对那悖逆之家说：你们不知道这些事是什么意思吗？你要这样说，看哪，巴比伦王曾到耶路撒冷，把其中的君王和官长带到巴比伦去，

耶利米对西底家说：“耶和华—万军之上帝、以色列的上帝如此说：你若归顺巴比伦王的官长，你的命就必存活，这城也不致被火焚烧，你和你的全家都必存活。你若不归顺巴比伦王的官长，这城必交在迦勒底人手中。他们必用火焚烧，你也不得脱离他们的手。”

巴比伦王以未‧米罗达作王的元年，就是犹大王约雅斤被掳后三十七年十二月二十五日，他使犹大王约雅斤抬起头来，提他出监，

耶和华说：“约雅敬的儿子犹大王哥尼雅，虽是我右手上带印的戒指，我凭我的永生起誓，我必将你从其上摘下来。我要将你交在寻索你命的人和你所惧怕的人手中，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒和迦勒底人手中。我也要将你和生你的母亲赶到别国，不是你们出生的地方；你们必死在那里，心中虽然很想归回那地，却不得归回。”哥尼雅这人是被轻看、遭毁坏的罐子，是无人喜爱的器皿吗？他和他的后裔为何被赶到素不认识之地呢？地啊，地啊，地啊，当听耶和华的话！耶和华如此说：“要把这人登记为无子，是平生不得亨通的人；因为他后裔中再无一人得亨通，能坐在大卫的宝座上治理犹大。”
