The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord— to follow the Lord and keep his commands, statutes and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

The king stood next to his pillar. He agreed to the terms of the covenant in front of the Lord. The king promised to serve the Lord and obey his commands, directions and rules. He promised to obey them with all his heart and with all his soul. So he agreed to the terms of the covenant written down in that book. Then all the people committed themselves to the covenant as well.

And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people joined in the covenant.

The king took his place of authority beside the pillar and renewed the covenant in the Lord’s presence. He pledged to obey the Lord by keeping all his commands, laws, and decrees with all his heart and soul. In this way, he confirmed all the terms of the covenant that were written in the scroll, and all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

Next, the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant in the LORD’s presence to follow the LORD and to keep his commands, his decrees, and his statutes with all his heart and with all his soul in order to carry out the words of this covenant that were written in this book; all the people agreed to the covenant.

耶何耶大使王和民与耶和华立约，作耶和华的民；又使王与民立约。

看见王照例站在柱旁，百夫长和吹号的人侍立在王左右，国中的众民欢乐吹号；亚他利雅就撕裂衣服，喊叫说：“反了！反了！”

你们要顺从耶和华你们的神，敬畏他，谨守他的诫命，听从他的话，侍奉他，专靠他。

“今日，你们的首领、族长、长老、官长、以色列的男丁，你们的妻子儿女，和营中寄居的，以及为你们劈柴挑水的人，都站在耶和华你们的神面前，

但愿赐平安的神，就是那凭永约之血、使群羊的大牧人、我主耶稣从死里复活的神，

他们必访问锡安，又面向这里，说：‘来吧，你们要与耶和华联合为永远不忘的约。’

“这是耶和华你们神所吩咐教训你们的诫命、律例、典章，使你们在所要过去得为业的地上遵行，

他们就立约，要尽心尽性地寻求耶和华他们列祖的神。凡不寻求耶和华以色列神的，无论大小、男女，必被治死。他们就大声欢呼，吹号吹角，向耶和华起誓。

又将约书念给百姓听。他们说：“耶和华所吩咐的，我们都必遵行。”摩西将血洒在百姓身上，说：“你看！这是立约的血，是耶和华按这一切话与你们立约的凭据。”

这是耶和华在摩押地吩咐摩西与以色列人立约的话，是在他和他们于何烈山所立的约之外。

你必凭诚实、公平、公义，指着永生的耶和华起誓；列国必因耶和华称自己为有福，也必因他夸耀。”

王站在他的地位上，在耶和华面前立约，要尽心尽性地顺从耶和华，遵守他的诫命、法度、律例，成就这书上所记的约言；又使住耶路撒冷和便雅悯的人都服从这约。于是耶路撒冷的居民都遵行他们列祖之神的约。约西亚从以色列各处将一切可憎之物尽都除掉，使以色列境内的人都侍奉耶和华他们的神。约西亚在世的日子，就跟从耶和华他们列祖的神，总不离开。

耶何耶大与众民和王立约，都要作耶和华的民。

我劝你遵守王的命令；既指神起誓，理当如此。

摩西下山，将耶和华的命令典章都述说与百姓听。众百姓齐声说：“耶和华所吩咐的，我们都必遵行。”

“以色列啊，现在耶和华你神向你所要的是什么呢？只要你敬畏耶和华你的神，遵行他的道，爱他，尽心尽性侍奉他，

因这一切的事，我们立确实的约，写在册上。我们的首领、利未人，和祭司都签了名。

耶和华的律法全备，能苏醒人心；耶和华的法度确定，能使愚人有智慧。耶和华的训词正直，能快活人的心；耶和华的命令清洁，能明亮人的眼目。耶和华的道理洁净，存到永远；耶和华的典章真实，全然公义。

现在当与我们的神立约，休这一切的妻，离绝她们所生的，照着我主和那因神命令战兢之人所议定的，按律法而行。

百姓回答约书亚说：“我们必侍奉耶和华我们的神，听从他的话。”当日，约书亚就与百姓立约，在示剑为他们立定律例典章。

“你们若留意听从我今日所吩咐的诫命，爱耶和华你们的神，尽心尽性侍奉他，

其余的民、祭司、利未人、守门的、歌唱的、尼提宁，和一切离绝邻邦居民归服神律法的，并他们的妻子、儿女，凡有知识能明白的，都随从他们贵胄的弟兄，发咒起誓，必遵行神藉他仆人摩西所传的律法，谨守遵行耶和华我们主的一切诫命、典章、律例；并不将我们的女儿嫁给这地的居民，也不为我们的儿子娶他们的女儿。这地的居民若在安息日，或什么圣日，带了货物或粮食来卖给我们，我们必不买。每逢第七年必不耕种，凡欠我们债的必不追讨。我们又为自己定例，每年各人捐银一舍客勒三分之一，为我们神殿的使用，就是为陈设饼、常献的素祭，和燔祭，安息日、月朔、节期所献的与圣物，并以色列人的赎罪祭，以及我们神殿里一切的费用。我们的祭司、利未人，和百姓都掣签，看每年是哪一族按定期将献祭的柴奉到我们神的殿里，照着律法上所写的，烧在耶和华我们神的坛上。又定每年将我们地上初熟的土产和各样树上初熟的果子都奉到耶和华的殿里。又照律法上所写的，将我们头胎的儿子和首生的牛羊都奉到我们神的殿，交给我们神殿里供职的祭司；并将初熟之麦子所磨的面和举祭、各样树上初熟的果子、新酒与油奉给祭司，收在我们神殿的库房里，把我们地上所产的十分之一奉给利未人，因利未人在我们一切城邑的土产中当取十分之一。利未人取十分之一的时候，亚伦的子孙中，当有一个祭司与利未人同在。利未人也当从十分之一中取十分之一，奉到我们神殿的屋子里，收在库房中。以色列人和利未人要将五谷、新酒，和油为举祭，奉到收存圣所器皿的屋子里，就是供职的祭司、守门的、歌唱的所住的屋子。这样，我们就不离弃我们神的殿。

摩西将以色列众人召了来，对他们说：“以色列人哪，我今日晓谕你们的律例典章，你们要听，可以学习，谨守遵行。耶和华我们的神在何烈山与我们立约。这约不是与我们列祖立的，乃是与我们今日在这里存活之人立的。

你要尽心、尽性、尽力爱耶和华你的神。

所以主指责他的百姓说：“日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，不像我拉着他们祖宗的手，领他们出埃及的时候，与他们所立的约。因为他们不恒心守我的约，我也不理他们。这是主说的。”主又说：“那些日子以后，我与以色列家所立的约乃是这样：我要将我的律法放在他们里面，写在他们心上；我要作他们的神；他们要作我的子民。他们不用各人教导自己的乡邻和自己的弟兄，说：‘你该认识主’；因为他们从最小的到至大的，都必认识我。我要宽恕他们的不义，不再记念他们的罪愆。”既说新约，就以前约为旧了；但那渐旧渐衰的，就必快归无有了。

就是摩西在以色列人出埃及后所传给他们的法度、律例、典章；

并新约的中保耶稣，以及所洒的血；这血所说的比亚伯的血所说的更美。

看见王站在殿门的柱旁，百夫长和吹号的人侍立在王左右，国民都欢乐吹号，又有歌唱的，用各样的乐器领人歌唱赞美；亚他利雅就撕裂衣服，喊叫说：“反了！反了！”

现在我心中有意与耶和华以色列的神立约，好使他的烈怒转离我们。

“夫子，律法上的诫命，哪一条是最大的呢？”耶稣对他说：“你要尽心、尽性、尽意，爱主你的神。

你若忘记耶和华你的神，随从别神，侍奉敬拜，你们必定灭亡；这是我今日警戒你们的。
