The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord— to follow the Lord and keep his commands, statutes and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

The king stood next to his pillar. He agreed to the terms of the covenant in front of the Lord. The king promised to serve the Lord and obey his commands, directions and rules. He promised to obey them with all his heart and with all his soul. So he agreed to the terms of the covenant written down in that book. Then all the people committed themselves to the covenant as well.

And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people joined in the covenant.

The king took his place of authority beside the pillar and renewed the covenant in the Lord’s presence. He pledged to obey the Lord by keeping all his commands, laws, and decrees with all his heart and soul. In this way, he confirmed all the terms of the covenant that were written in the scroll, and all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

Next, the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant in the LORD’s presence to follow the LORD and to keep his commands, his decrees, and his statutes with all his heart and with all his soul in order to carry out the words of this covenant that were written in this book; all the people agreed to the covenant.

耶何耶大讓王及民眾與耶和華立約，做耶和華的子民，也讓王與民眾立約。

她看見王照例站在柱旁，百夫長和吹號的人侍立在王左右，眾人都歡呼吹號，便撕裂衣服喊叫：「反了！反了！」

你們要跟從你們的上帝耶和華，敬畏祂，遵守祂的誡命，聽從祂的話，事奉祂，倚靠祂。

「今天，你們全都站在你們的上帝耶和華面前，包括你們的族長、長老、官員、所有以色列男子、你們的孩子、妻子和寄居在你們中間為你們砍柴挑水的外族人，為要接受你們的上帝耶和華與你們立的誓約。這樣，祂今天將宣告你們是祂的子民、祂是你們的上帝，正如祂對你們的應許和對你們祖先亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的誓言。耶和華的這誓約不僅是與你們立的，也是與今天一同站在我們的上帝耶和華面前的人，以及今天不在這裡的人立的。

願賜平安的上帝，就是那位憑著立永恆之約的血使群羊的大牧人——我主耶穌從死裡復活的上帝，

他們必打聽前往錫安的路，朝錫安走去。他們必憑不會被遺忘的永恆之約歸附耶和華。

「你們的上帝耶和華吩咐我教導你們以下的誡命、律例和典章，以便你們在將要佔領的土地上遵行。

他們又與他們祖先的上帝耶和華立約，要全心全意地尋求祂。凡不尋求以色列的上帝耶和華的，無論男女老幼，一律處死。他們高聲向耶和華起誓，並吹響號角。

他又把約書念給百姓聽，百姓聽了都說：「我們願意遵行耶和華的一切吩咐，我們願意順服。」摩西便把盆中的血灑在百姓身上，說：「這是立約的血，是耶和華按所說的話與你們立約的憑據。」

耶和華除了與以色列人在何烈山立約外，還在摩押吩咐摩西與以色列人立以下的約。

如果你本著誠實、正直、公義，憑永活的耶和華起誓，你必成為萬國的祝福，得到他們的尊敬。」

王站在自己的位置上，在耶和華面前立約，要全心全意地跟隨耶和華，遵從祂的一切誡命、法度和律例，履行約書上的規定。他使耶路撒冷和便雅憫的人都遵行這約。於是，耶路撒冷的居民都遵行他們祖先的上帝的約。約西亞除去以色列境內所有的可憎之物，又吩咐所有住在以色列的人都事奉他們的上帝耶和華。約西亞在世時，他們都沒有偏離他們祖先的上帝耶和華。

耶何耶大讓民眾和王與他一起立約，要做耶和華的子民。

我勸你遵守王的命令，因為你曾在上帝面前這樣發誓。

摩西下山把耶和華的話和法令都告訴百姓，百姓齊聲回答：「我們願意遵行耶和華的一切吩咐。」

「以色列人啊，你們的上帝耶和華對你們有何要求？無非要你們敬畏祂，遵行祂的旨意，愛祂，全心全意地事奉祂，

「鑒於這一切，我們鄭重立約，記載下來。我們的首領、利未人和祭司都在上面蓋了印。」

耶和華的律法完美，能更新生命；耶和華的法度可靠，讓愚人有智慧。耶和華的法則公正，使人充滿喜樂；耶和華的命令純全，讓人眼目明亮。要以純潔的心敬畏耶和華，直到永遠；耶和華的法令可靠，全然公義。

現在，我們來與我們的上帝立約，聽從你和那些敬畏我們上帝誡命之人的指示，遵照律法而行，送走這些妻子和她們的兒女。

民眾答道：「我們必事奉我們的上帝耶和華，聽從祂的話。」當天約書亞與民眾立約，在示劍為他們訂立律例和典章。

「如果你們謹遵我今天吩咐你們的誡命，全心全意地愛你們的上帝耶和華，事奉祂，

其餘的民眾、祭司、利未人、殿門守衛、歌樂手、殿役和所有與外族人隔離以便遵從上帝律法的人，以及他們的妻子和兒女等所有能夠明白的人，都跟隨他們的貴族同胞起誓要謹遵上帝藉祂僕人摩西頒佈的律法，遵守我們的主耶和華的一切誡命、典章和律例。我們不將女兒嫁給當地的人，也不為兒子娶當地的女子。如果這地方的居民在安息日或其他聖日帶來貨物和五穀要賣給我們，我們必不購買。我們每逢第七年必不耕種，也必不追討債務。我們為自己定下律例，每人每年捐獻四克銀子，供我們上帝的殿使用，以支付供餅、日常獻的素祭和燔祭，安息日、朔日和其他節期所獻的聖物，為以色列人獻上的贖罪祭，以及我們上帝殿中的各項費用。我們的祭司、利未人和民眾抽籤，決定每年哪一族要在指定的時間把獻祭時所需用的木材帶到我們上帝的殿裡，按照律法的規定燒在我們的上帝耶和華的壇上。我們把每年地裡初熟的物產和各種樹上初熟的果子獻到耶和華的殿裡。我們按照律法的規定獻上我們的長子和頭胎的牛羊，把他們帶到我們上帝的殿中，交給在那裡供職的祭司。我們把上好的麵團、舉祭、各樣果子、新酒和新油交給祭司，收進我們上帝殿的庫房裡，並把我們地裡收成的十分之一交給利未人，這是他們在我們所有城邑的出產中當收取的份。利未人收取十分之一的時候，要有亞倫子孫中的一位祭司陪同，利未人要從這十分之一中抽出十分之一帶到我們上帝的殿中，收進庫房裡。以色列人和利未人要將這些五穀、新酒和新油作為舉祭帶到收藏聖所器皿的地方，即供職的祭司、殿門守衛和歌樂手所住的房子。這樣，我們便不會忽略我們上帝的殿。

摩西把所有的以色列人召來，對他們說：「以色列人啊，要留心聽我今天對你們宣講的律例和典章，要學習並謹慎遵行。我們的上帝耶和華曾在何烈山與我們立約，這約不是與我們祖先立的，乃是與我們今天還活著的人立的。

你們要全心、全意、全力愛你們的上帝耶和華。

然而，上帝指責祂的百姓，說：「看啊，時候將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新約，這約不同於我與他們祖先所立的約，就是我牽著他們祖先的手領他們離開埃及時所立的。因為他們不持守我的約，所以我不再理會他們。這是主說的。主又說，那些日子以後，我將與以色列家立這樣的約，我要把我的律法放在他們腦中，寫在他們心上。我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。誰都無需再教導自己的鄰居和弟兄，說，『你要認識主。』因為他們無論尊卑都必認識我。我要赦免他們的過犯，忘掉他們的罪惡。」上帝既然說要立新約，就是把以前的約當作舊的了，那漸漸過時、陳舊的東西很快就會消失。

即在離開埃及後傳授給他們的法度、律例和典章。

還有新約的中保耶穌和祂所流的血。這血比亞伯的血發出更美的信息。

她看見王站在門口的柱旁，百夫長和吹號的人侍立在王左右，眾民都歡呼吹號，歌樂手用各種樂器帶領眾人唱歌頌揚，便撕裂衣服，喊道：「反了！反了！」

現在我決心要與以色列的上帝耶和華立約，好使祂的烈怒轉離我們。

「老師，請問律法中哪一條誡命最重要呢？」耶穌回答說：「『你要全心、全情、全意愛主——你的上帝』，

「我今天警告你們，如果你們忘記你們的上帝耶和華，去追隨、供奉、祭拜其他神明，你們必滅亡。
