沙番禀告王说：“你的臣仆已经把殿里的银子清点完毕，交给了殿里的督工和工人。”

书记沙番来见王，向王回报说：“你的臣仆已经把殿里的银子清点，交在耶和华殿里管理工匠的人手中。”

書記沙番到王那裏，回覆王說：「你的僕人已將殿裏的銀子倒出數算，交給耶和華殿裏辦事的人了。」

祕書沙番去見王，向王回話，說：『僕人已將殿裏所有的銀子都倒出來，交在辦事的人、永恆主殿裏監工的人、手裏了。』

繕寫沙番詣王復命曰、爾之臣僕、已將室中所貯之金、傾而出之、付於督耶和華室之工作者、

Then Shaphan the secretary went to the king and reported to him:“ Your officials have paid out the money that was in the temple of the Lord and have entrusted it to the workers and supervisors at the temple.”

Then Shaphan went to King Josiah. Shaphan told him,“ Your officials have paid out the money that was in the Lord’ s temple. They’ve put it in the care of the workers and directors there.”

And Shaphan the secretary came to the king, and reported to the king,“ Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house and have delivered it into the hand of the workmen who have the oversight of the house of the Lord.”

Shaphan went to the king and reported,“ Your officials have turned over the money collected at the Temple of the Lord to the workers and supervisors at the Temple.”

Then the court secretary Shaphan went to the king and reported,“ Your servants have emptied out the silver that was found in the temple and have given it to those doing the work— those who oversee the LORD’s temple.”

Then Shaphan the scribe came to the king and brought back word to the king and said,“ Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have handed it over to the workmen who have the oversight of the house of the Lord.”

So Shaphan the scribe went to the king, bringing the king word, saying,“ Your servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of those who do the work, who oversee the house of the Lord.”

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of the workmen that have the oversight of the house of Jehovah.

Then Shaphan the court secretary went to the king and reported,“ Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the temple and have put it into the hand of those doing the work— those who oversee the Lord’s temple.”

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.

Shaphan the scribe went to the king and reported,“ Your servants melted down the silver in the temple and handed it over to the construction foremen assigned to the LORD’s temple.”

Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said,“ Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hands of the workmen who have the oversight of Yahweh’s house.”

這封信是由沙番的兒子以利亞薩和希勒家的兒子基瑪利帶去的；他們是猶大王西底家差往巴比倫，去見巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的。信上說：

約西亞在位第十八年，王差派米書蘭的孫子、亞薩利的兒子、書記沙番到耶和華的殿，吩咐他說：

然而沙番的兒子亞希甘卻保護耶利米，不許人把耶利米交在人民的手中處死。

那些在摩押、亞捫、以東和各地所有的猶大人，聽見了巴比倫王在猶大留下一些餘民，並且指派沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利管理他們，

尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利和與他一起的那十個人就起來，用刀襲擊沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利，就是巴比倫王指派管理那地的，把他殺掉。

把耶利米從衛兵的院子裡提出來，交給沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利，叫他帶耶利米回家去。這樣，耶利米就住在人民中間。

站在這些像面前的有以色列家的七十個長老，沙番的兒子雅撒尼亞也站在他們中間；各人手裡拿著自己的香爐，香的煙往上升。

至於在猶大地剩下來的人民，就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒留下來的，巴比倫王委派沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利管理他們。

巴錄就在耶和華的殿裡，向眾民宣讀書上耶利米的話。那時他是在沙番的兒子書記基瑪利雅的房間裡，這房間是在上院，靠近耶和華殿裡新門的入口。沙番的孫子基瑪利雅的兒子米該亞，聽見了書上耶和華的一切話，就下到王宮，進入書記的房間裡；所有領袖都在那裡坐著，他們是書記以利沙瑪、示瑪雅的兒子第萊雅、亞革波的兒子以利拿單、沙番的兒子基瑪利雅、哈拿尼雅的兒子西底家和所有其餘的領袖。

王又吩咐希勒家祭司、沙番的兒子亞希甘、米該亞的兒子亞革博、書記沙番和王的臣僕及亞撒雅說：
