Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and have him get ready the money that has been brought into the temple of the Lord, which the doorkeepers have collected from the people.

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest. Have him add up the money that has been brought into the Lord’ s temple. The men who guard the doors have collected it from the people.

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money that has been brought into the house of the Lord, which the keepers of the threshold have collected from the people.

“ Go to Hilkiah the high priest and have him count the money the gatekeepers have collected from the people at the Lord’s Temple.

“ Go up to the high priest Hilkiah so that he may total up the silver brought into the LORD’s temple— the silver the doorkeepers have collected from the people.

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, and have him count all the money brought into the house of the Lord, which the doorkeepers have collected from the people.

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money which has been brought into the house of the Lord, which the doorkeepers have gathered from the people.

Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the money which is brought into the house of Jehovah, which the keepers of the threshold have gathered of the people:

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest so that he may total up the money brought into the Lord’s temple— the money the doorkeepers have collected from the people.

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and have him melt down the silver that has been brought by the people to the LORD’s temple and has been collected by the guards at the door.

“ Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money which is brought into Yahweh’s house, which the keepers of the threshold have gathered of the people.

And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD,[ even] the money of every one that passeth[ the account], the money that every man is set at,[ and] all the money that cometh into any man’s heart to bring into the house of the LORD,

Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates,[ were] an hundred seventy and two.

And when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to Jerusalem.And they put[ it] in the hand of the workmen that had the oversight of the house of the LORD, and they gave it to the workmen that wrought in the house of the LORD, to repair and amend the house:Even to the artificers and builders gave they[ it], to buy hewn stone, and timber for couplings, and to floor the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed.And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them[ were] Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set[ it] forward; and[ other of] the Levites, all that could skill of instruments of musick.Also[ they were] over the bearers of burdens, and[ were] overseers of all that wrought the work in any manner of service: and of the Levites[ there were] scribes, and officers, and porters.And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found a book of the law of the LORD[ given] by Moses.And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.And Shaphan carried the book to the king, and brought the king word back again, saying, All that was committed to thy servants, they do[ it].And they have gathered together the money that was found in the house of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to the hand of the workmen.Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

And the priests consented to receive no[ more] money of the people, neither to repair the breaches of the house.But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house of the LORD: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money[ that was] brought into the house of the LORD.And it was[ so], when they saw that[ there was] much money in the chest, that the king’s scribe and the high priest came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of the LORD.And they gave the money, being told, into the hands of them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of the LORD: and they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of the LORD,

And Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,

For a day in thy courts[ is] better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.To Obededom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.To Shuppim and Hosah[ the lot came forth] westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.Eastward[ were] six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim two[ and] two.At Parbar westward, four at the causeway,[ and] two at Parbar.These[ are] the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore, and among the sons of Merari.

And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

And at the king’s commandment they made a chest, and set it without at the gate of the house of the LORD.And they made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, to bring in to the LORD the collection[ that] Moses the servant of God[ laid] upon Israel in the wilderness.And all the princes and all the people rejoiced, and brought in, and cast into the chest, until they had made an end.Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest was brought unto the king’s office by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that[ there was] much money, the king’s scribe and the high priest’s officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the LORD, and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the LORD.

And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites,[ were] over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers,[ being] over the host of the LORD,[ were] keepers of the entry.

And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;
