Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its people— that they would become a curse and be laid waste— and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I also have heard you, declares the Lord.

“ Your heart was tender. You made yourself humble in the eyes of the Lord. You heard what I spoke against this place and its people. I said they would be under a curse. I told them they would be destroyed. You tore your royal robes and wept in front of me. And I have heard you,” announces the Lord.

我就必使这殿如示罗，使这城为地上万国所咒诅的。’”

因为那至高至上、永远长存名为圣者的如此说：“我住在至高至圣的所在，也与心灵痛悔谦卑的人同居；要使谦卑人的灵苏醒，也使痛悔人的心苏醒。

耶和华因你们所作的恶、所行可憎的事，不能再容忍，所以你们的地荒凉，令人惊骇咒诅，无人居住，正如今日一样。

摩西、亚伦就进去见法老，对他说：“耶和华希伯来人的神这样说：‘你在我面前不肯自卑要到几时呢？容我的百姓去，好侍奉我。

我要使你们的城邑变为荒凉，使你们的众圣所成为荒场；我也不闻你们馨香的香气。我要使地成为荒场，住在其上的仇敌就因此诧异。

随后大卫心中自责，因为割下扫罗的衣襟；

世人哪，耶和华已指示你何为善。他向你所要的是什么呢？只要你行公义，好怜悯，存谦卑的心，与你的神同行。

你们年幼的，也要顺服年长的。就是你们众人也都要以谦卑束腰，彼此顺服；因为神阻挡骄傲的人，赐恩给谦卑的人。所以，你们要自卑，服在神大能的手下，到了时候，他必叫你们升高。

他的祷告，与神怎样应允他，他未自卑以前的罪愆过犯，并在何处建筑邱坛，设立亚舍拉和雕刻的偶像，都写在何赛的书上。

但愿我的头为水，我的眼为泪的泉源，我好为我百姓中被杀的人昼夜哭泣。

“你回去告诉我民的君希西家说：耶和华你祖大卫的神如此说：‘我听见了你的祷告，看见了你的眼泪，我必医治你；到第三日，你必上到耶和华的殿。

还是你藐视他丰富的恩慈、宽容、忍耐，不晓得他的恩慈是领你悔改呢？你竟任着你刚硬不悔改的心，为自己积蓄忿怒，以致神震怒，显他公义审判的日子来到。

但他赐更多的恩典，所以经上说：“神阻挡骄傲的人，赐恩给谦卑的人。”故此，你们要顺服神。务要抵挡魔鬼，魔鬼就必离开你们逃跑了。你们亲近神，神就必亲近你们。有罪的人哪，要洁净你们的手！心怀二意的人哪，要清洁你们的心！你们要愁苦、悲哀、哭泣，将喜笑变作悲哀，欢乐变作愁闷。务要在主面前自卑，主就必叫你们升高。

论到犹大王约雅敬你要说，耶和华如此说：你烧了书卷，说：‘你为什么在其上写着，说巴比伦王必要来毁灭这地，使这地上绝了人民牲畜呢？’所以耶和华论到犹大王约雅敬说：他后裔中必没有人坐在大卫的宝座上；他的尸首必被抛弃，白日受炎热，黑夜受寒霜。我必因他和他后裔，并他臣仆的罪孽刑罚他们。我要使我所说的一切灾祸临到他们和耶路撒冷的居民，并犹大人；只是他们不听。”于是，耶利米又取一书卷交给尼利亚的儿子文士巴录，他就从耶利米的口中写了犹大王约雅敬所烧前卷上的一切话，另外又添了许多相仿的话。

我听见这话，就坐下哭泣，悲哀几日，在天上的神面前禁食祈祷，说：

他在急难的时候，就恳求耶和华他的神，且在他列祖的神面前极其自卑。

亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚就打发人去见希西家，说：“耶和华以色列的神如此说：‘你既然求我攻击亚述王西拿基立，我已听见了。’

耶稣快到耶路撒冷，看见城，就为它哀哭，

我是大有忧愁，心里时常伤痛；为我弟兄，我骨肉之亲，就是自己被咒诅，与基督分离，我也愿意。

耶和华对他说：“你去走遍耶路撒冷全城，那些因城中所行可憎之事叹息哀哭的人，画记号在额上。”

王和听见这一切话的臣仆都不惧怕，也不撕裂衣服。

摩西和以色列全会众正在会幕门前哭泣的时候，谁知，有以色列中的一个人，当他们眼前，带着一个米甸女人到他弟兄那里去。

以斯拉祷告，认罪，哭泣，俯伏在神殿前的时候，有以色列中的男女孩童聚集到以斯拉那里，成了大会，众民无不痛哭。

我的眼泪下流成河，因为他们不守你的律法。

我因惧怕你，肉就发抖；我也怕你的判语。

耶和华的使者向以色列众人说这话的时候，百姓就放声而哭；于是给那地方起名叫波金。众人在那里向耶和华献祭。

你要将这话对他们说：‘愿我眼泪汪汪，昼夜不息，因为我百姓受了裂口破坏的大伤。

耶和华说：“这一切都是我手所造的，所以就都有了。但我所看顾的，就是虚心痛悔、因我话而战兢的人。

王听见律法书上的话，便撕裂衣服，

以色列众人就上到伯特利，坐在耶和华面前哭号，当日禁食直到晚上；又在耶和华面前献燔祭和平安祭。

你们若不听这话，我必因你们的骄傲在暗地哭泣；我眼必痛哭流泪，因为耶和华的群众被掳去了。

我一听见这事，就撕裂衣服和外袍，拔了头发和胡须，惊惧忧闷而坐。凡为以色列神言语战兢的，都因这被掳归回之人所犯的罪聚集到我这里来。我就惊惧忧闷而坐，直到献晚祭的时候。

你们因耶和华言语战兢的人当听他的话：你们的弟兄，就是恨恶你们、因我名赶出你们的，曾说：“愿耶和华得荣耀，使我们得见你们的喜乐”，但蒙羞的究竟是他们！

你们这些心中顽梗、远离公义的，当听我言。

又看见遍地有硫磺，有盐卤，有火迹，没有耕种，没有出产，连草都不生长，好像耶和华在忿怒中所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样。

省长尼希米和作祭司的文士以斯拉，并教训百姓的利未人，对众民说：“今日是耶和华你们神的圣日，不要悲哀哭泣。”这是因为众民听见律法书上的话都哭了；

“他们要承认自己的罪和他们祖宗的罪，就是干犯我的那罪，并且承认自己行事与我反对，我所以行事与他们反对，把他们带到仇敌之地。那时，他们未受割礼的心若谦卑了，他们也服了罪孽的刑罚，

不在耶和华面前像他父玛拿西自卑。这亚们所犯的罪越犯越大。
