汝其往哉、為我為民、為猶大眾、以此書之言、詢於耶和華、因我列祖不聽此書之言、不遵所載諭我儕者而行、故耶和華向我、發怒甚烈、

爾曹往哉、為我及猶大全族之民、諮諏耶和華、蓋我列祖、未從此書所言、干耶和華震怒。

爾往、為我、為民、為猶大全族、因此書之言問於主、我列祖不聽從此書之言、不遵此書所載一切諭我之命而行、主之烈怒、必向我如火之烈、

“ Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.”

“ Go. Ask the Lord for advice. Ask him about what is written in this book that has been found. Do it for me. Also do it for the people and the whole nation of Judah. The Lord is very angry with us. That’s because our people who have lived before us didn’t obey the words of this book. They didn’t do everything written there about us.”

“ Go, inquire of the Lord for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found. For great is the wrath of the Lord that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”

“ Go to the Temple and speak to the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah. Inquire about the words written in this scroll that has been found. For the Lord’s great anger is burning against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words in this scroll. We have not been doing everything it says we must do.”

“ Go and inquire of the LORD for me, for the people, and for all Judah about the words in this book that has been found. For great is the LORD’s wrath that is kindled against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this book in order to do everything written about us.”

Go ye, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

“ Go and inquire of the Lord for me, the people, and all Judah about the instruction in this book that has been found. For great is the Lord’s wrath that is kindled against us because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this book in order to do everything written about us.”

Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great[ is] the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

“ Go, seek an oracle from the LORD for me and the people– for all Judah. Find out about the words of this scroll that has been discovered. For the LORD’s fury has been ignited against us, because our ancestors have not obeyed the words of this scroll by doing all that it instructs us to do.”

“ Go inquire of Yahweh for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is Yahweh’s wrath that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.”

‘ The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’All nations would say,‘ Why has the Lord done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’Then people would say:‘ Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt;for they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they did not know and that He had not given to them.Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against this land, to bring on it every curse that is written in this book.And the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.’

Then My anger shall be aroused against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured. And many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day,‘ Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?’And I will surely hide My face in that day because of all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods.

We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets.

then Zedekiah the king sent and took him out. The king asked him secretly in his house, and said,“ Is there any word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said,“ There is.” Then he said,“ You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon!”

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and saw no trouble.

you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

And you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, each one follows the dictates of his own evil heart, so that no one listens to Me.

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not keep the word of the Lord, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance.But he did not inquire of the Lord; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,“ Please inquire of the Lord for us, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon makes war against us. Perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all His wonderful works, that the king may go away from us.”

For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

You, Yourself, are to be feared; And who may stand in Your presence When once You are angry?

But Jehoshaphat said,“ Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?” So one of the servants of the king of Israel answered and said,“ Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.”

I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.

And Jehoshaphat said,“ Is there not still a prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of Him?”So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the Lord; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” And Jehoshaphat said,“ Let not the king say such things!”

“ Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?“ Therefore speak to them, and say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols,

we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.Neither have we heeded Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings and our princes, to our fathers and all the people of the land.O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this day— to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against You.“ O Lord, to us belongs shame of face, to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You.

In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

And they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for one-fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.

because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.

“ Go, inquire of the Lord for me, and for those who are left in Israel and Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found; for great is the wrath of the Lord that is poured out on us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the Lord, to do according to all that is written in this book.”

Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

For our fathers have trespassed and done evil in the eyes of the Lord our God; they have forsaken Him, have turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the Lord, and turned their backs on Him.

It came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and sat before me.Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,“ Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Have you come to inquire of Me? As I live,” says the Lord God,“ I will not be inquired of by you.”’

Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And the rocks are thrown down by Him.

So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading.And Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people,“ This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law.

We have sinned with our fathers, We have committed iniquity, We have done wickedly.

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Our fathers sinned and are no more, But we bear their iniquities.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the Lord your God has forbidden you.For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.“ When you beget children and grandchildren and have grown old in the land, and act corruptly and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do evil in the sight of the Lord your God to provoke Him to anger,I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you will soon utterly perish from the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess; you will not prolong your days in it, but will be utterly destroyed.And the Lord will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the Lord will drive you.
