耶和华喜悦千千的公羊，或是万万的油河吗？为我的过犯，我可以献上我的长子吗？为我的罪恶，献上我亲生的孩子吗？

“你要对以色列人说：任何以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的儿子献给摩洛，必要把他处死；本地的人要用石头把他打死。我也要向那人变脸，把他从他的族人中剪除，因为他把自己的儿子献给摩洛，玷污了我的圣所，亵渎了我的圣名。

埃及人的意志必消沉，我要破坏他们的计谋；他们必求问偶像、念咒的、交鬼的和行巫术的。

在耶和华看来，所多玛人是罪大恶极的。

扫罗死了，因为他悖逆耶和华，没有听从他的话，也因为他去求问那交鬼的，

并且在欣嫩子谷把自己的儿女用火烧为祭，又占卜、行邪术、用法术、交鬼和通灵；作了很多耶和华看为恶的事，惹他发怒。

这事临到犹大完全是出于耶和华的命令，因着玛拿西的罪，就是他所行的一切，要把他们从自己面前赶走；又因着他所流无辜人的血，他使耶路撒冷满了无辜人的血，耶和华决不赦免。

有人对你们说：“要求问那些交鬼的和行巫术的，就是那些喃喃细语的人。”一族之民不应当求问自己的神吗？他们怎能为活人求问死人呢？

有一次，我们到祈祷的地方去的时候，一个被巫鬼附着的婢女迎面而来；她行占卜使主人们发了大财。
