爾猶守暗利之陋規、陋規或作惡習原文作律例行亞哈家一切所行、從其所謀、故我必使爾城邑荒蕪、使居民為人所訕笑、我民受辱、爾曹亦必當之、我民受辱爾曹亦必當之有作爾曹必負萬民之恥笑

於是巴力之先知、取所得之犢、治備之、自辰至午、呼巴力之名、曰、巴力乎、求爾應允我、然無聲響、無應者、乃舞於所築之壇上、

行惡於主前、效以色列列王之所為、與亞哈家所行無異、蓋娶亞哈之女為后、

以利亞至民眾前曰、爾曹心持二意、何時乃己、如以主為天主、則從主、如以巴力為天主、則從巴力、民不答一言、

亞哈謝效亞哈家之所為、行惡於主前、與亞哈家無異、蓋其為亞哈家之壻也、

在位之八年、年尚幼、始尋求其祖大衛之天主、十二年、始潔猶大地及耶路撒冷、自其中除諸邱壇、諸亞舍拉、諸偶像、及鎔鑄之形像、

爾曹或告我曰、我儕恃主我之天主、乃希西家曾廢其邱壇與祭臺、命猶大人及耶路撒冷居民曰、但當在耶路撒冷在此祭臺前崇拜、
