昔我滅撒馬利亞、及亞哈家、亦必循此準繩、滅耶路撒冷、必行拂拭、如人拭盤即覆之、

我將以量撒瑪利亞之繩、與權亞哈家之錘、施於耶路撒冷、或作昔我滅撒瑪利亞及亞哈家必循此準繩以滅耶路撒冷必拭去耶路撒冷、如人拭盂即覆之、

I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab. I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

I will measure out punishment against Jerusalem, just as I did against Samaria. I used a plumb line against the royal family of Ahab. I used it to prove that they did not measure up to my standards. I will use the same plumb line against Jerusalem. I will wipe out Jerusalem, just as someone wipes a dish. I will wipe it and turn it upside down.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria, and the plumb line of the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

I will judge Jerusalem by the same standard I used for Samaria and the same measure I used for the family of Ahab. I will wipe away the people of Jerusalem as one wipes a dish and turns it upside down.

I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line used on Samaria and the mason’s level used on the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem clean as one wipes a bowl— wiping it and turning it upside down.

I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem clean just as one wipes a bowl, wiping it and turning it upside down.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab; I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab; and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line used on Samaria and the mason’s level used on the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem clean as one wipes a bowl— wiping it and turning it upside down.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as[ a man] wipeth a dish, wiping[ it], and turning[ it] upside down.

I will destroy Jerusalem the same way I did Samaria and the dynasty of Ahab. I will wipe Jerusalem clean, just as one wipes a plate on both sides.

I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of Ahab’s house; and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

但鵜鶘與箭豬要佔據那地，貓頭鷹和烏鴉必住在其中。耶和華必把混沌的準繩、空虛的線鉈，拉在其上。

以色列啊！你的人民雖然像海沙那樣多，卻只有餘剩的人可以歸回，因為滅絕的事已經定了，公義必如洪水氾濫。

你走了你姊姊所走的路，所以我必把她的杯交在你手裡。主耶和華這樣說：你必喝你姊姊所喝的杯，那杯又深又闊，容量甚大，必使你成為嗤笑和譏諷的對象。你必酩酊大醉，充滿愁苦，那是驚慌和荒涼的杯，就是你姊姊撒瑪利亞的杯。你要喝這杯，並且喝盡；然後把這杯摔成碎塊，又抓傷自己的胸。因為這是我曾說過的。’這是主耶和華的宣告。

於是耶戶擊殺了亞哈家在耶斯列剩下的人，還有他所有的大臣、有關的人、祭司，沒有一個給他存留。

我要以公平為準繩，以公義為線鉈；冰雹必把謊言的遮蔽沖去，大水必漫過庇護所。”

看哪！我要打發人去徵召北方的眾族，和我的僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，領他們來攻擊這地和這地的居民，以及周圍的列國；我要把他們徹底消滅，使他們成為令人驚駭，受人嗤笑的對象，和永遠荒廢的地方。”這是耶和華的宣告。

因此，我必使災禍臨到耶羅波安的家；我必剪除以色列中所有屬於耶羅波安的男丁，無論是自由的或是不自由的；我必剷除耶羅波安的家，像人掃除糞土一樣，直到完全除盡為止。

你要多加柴枝，點上火，混和香料，把肉煮爛，使骨頭燒焦；然後把空鍋放在炭火上，使鍋燒熱，使銅燒紅，使其中的污穢熔化，使它的鏽得以除淨。

何細亞在位第九年，亞述王佔領了撒瑪利亞，把以色列人擄到亞述去，安置他們在哈臘，在哈博河和歌散河一帶，以及在瑪代人的各城。

有一位大力的天使，把一塊好像大磨石一樣的石頭，舉起來拋在海裡，說：“巴比倫大城也必這樣被猛力地拋下去，決不能再找到了！彈琴、奏樂、吹笛、吹號的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！各樣手藝技工，在你中間決不能再找到了！推磨的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！燈的亮光，在你中間決不能再照耀了！新郎新娘的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！你的商人一向都是地上的大人物，萬國都因你的邪術受了迷惑。

因此，耶和華這樣說：我要懷著憐憫的心回到耶路撒冷，我的殿必在城中重建（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告）。繩子必拉在耶路撒冷之上。’

“我必使巴比倫被箭豬所佔，又使它變為泥沼之地；我必用毀滅的掃帚把它掃淨。”這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

耶和華說：‘看哪，我必使災禍臨到你，除滅你的後代，在以色列中屬亞哈的男丁，無論是自由的，或是不自由的，我都要除滅。我要使你的家像尼八的兒子耶羅波安的家，又像亞希雅的兒子巴沙的家，因為你惹我發怒，又因為你使以色列人陷在罪中。’至於耶洗別，耶和華也說：‘狗必在耶斯列的地方吃耶洗別的肉。屬亞哈的人，死在城裡的，必被野狗吃掉；死在田野的，必被空中的飛鳥吃掉。’”
