Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country,[ even] from Babylon.

Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked,“ What did those men say, and where did they come from?”“ From a distant land,” Hezekiah replied.“ They came from Babylon.”

Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah. He asked him,“ What did those men say? Where did they come from?”“ They came from a land far away,” Hezekiah said.“ They came from Babylon.”

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and said to him,“ What did these men say? And from where did they come to you?” And Hezekiah said,“ They have come from a far country, from Babylon.”

Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked him,“ What did those men want? Where were they from?” Hezekiah replied,“ They came from the distant land of Babylon.”

Then the prophet Isaiah came to King Hezekiah and asked him,“ Where did these men come from and what did they say to you?” Hezekiah replied,“ They came from a distant country, from Babylon.”

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him,“ What did these men say, and from where have they come to you?” And Hezekiah said,“ They have come from a far country, from Babylon.”

Then the prophet Isaiah came to King Hezekiah and asked him,“ Where did these men come from and what did they say to you?” Hezekiah replied,“ They came from a distant country, from Babylon.”

Isaiah the prophet visited King Hezekiah and asked him,“ What did these men say? Where do they come from?” Hezekiah replied,“ They come from the distant land of Babylon.”

Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah, and said to him,“ What did these men say? From where did they come to you?” Hezekiah said,“ They have come from a far country, even from Babylon.”

And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.

Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it[ is] the king’s chapel, and it[ is] the king’s court.

Let the righteous smite me;[ it shall be] a kindness: and let him reprove me;[ it shall be] an excellent oil,[ which] shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also[ shall be] in their calamities.

But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD[ is] not with Israel,[ to wit, with] all the children of Ephraim.But if thou wilt go, do[ it], be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.

Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that[ the king] said unto him, Art thou made of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

[ As] an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold,[ so is] a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.

And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,

And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of[ them] whose heart[ is] perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for[ he was] in a rage with him because of this[ thing]. And Asa oppressed[ some] of the people the same time.

For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven,[ even] the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

And Nathan said to David, Thou[ art] the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if[ that had been] too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife[ to be] thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give[ them] unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.For thou didst[ it] secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also[ that is] born unto thee shall surely die.And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed[ like] a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.

Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me,[ even] from Babylon.Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that[ is] in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:Behold, the days come, that all that[ is] in thine house, and[ that] which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good[ is] the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.

But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence[ comest thou], Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.And he said unto him, Went not mine heart[ with thee], when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee?[ Is it] a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth,[ as swift] as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
