百姓起行离开帐棚过约旦河的时候，抬约柜的祭司在百姓的前面。那时正是收割的日子，约旦河的水涨满两岸。抬约柜的人到了约旦河，抬约柜的祭司脚一入水边，那从上往下流的水就在很远的地方，在撒拉但旁边的亚当城那里停住，竖立成垒；那往亚拉巴海，就是盐海下流的水全然中断。于是，百姓在耶利哥的对面过了河。抬耶和华约柜的祭司在约旦河中的干地上稳稳站着，以色列众人都从干地上过去，直到全国都过了约旦河。

沧海啊，你为何奔逃？约旦哪，你为何倒流？大山哪，你为何踊跃如公羊？小山哪，你为何跳舞如羔羊？大地啊，在主的面前，在雅各的上帝的面前，震动吧！

以利亚听见，就用外衣蒙脸，出来站在洞口。听啊，有声音向他说：“以利亚，你在这里做什么？”

因着信，他们过红海如行干地；埃及人试着要过去就被淹没了。

第六位天使把碗倾倒在大幼发拉底河上，河水就干了，为要给从日出之地所来的众王预备道路。
