百姓离开帐棚要过约旦河的时候，抬约柜的祭司乃在百姓的前头。他们到了约旦河，脚一入水（原来约旦河水在收割的日子涨过两岸），那从上往下流的水便在极远之地、撒拉但旁的亚当城那里停住，立起成垒；那往亚拉巴的海，就是盐海，下流的水全然断绝。于是百姓在耶利哥的对面过去了。抬耶和华约柜的祭司在约旦河中的干地上站定，以色列众人都从干地上过去，直到国民尽都过了约旦河。

沧海啊，你为何奔逃？约旦哪，你为何倒流？大山哪，你为何踊跃，如公羊？小山哪，你为何跳舞，如羊羔？大地啊，你因见主的面，就是雅各神的面，便要震动。

以利亚听见，就用外衣蒙上脸，出来站在洞口。有声音向他说：“以利亚啊，你在这里做什么？”

他们因着信，过红海如行干地；埃及人试着要过去，就被吞灭了。

第六位天使把碗倒在幼发拉底大河上，河水就干了，要给那从日出之地所来的众王预备道路。
