Then the sons of the prophets who were in Jericho came up to Elisha and said,“ Do you know that the LORD will take your master away from you today?” He said,“ Yes, I know. Be quiet.”

The company of the prophets at Jericho went up to Elisha and asked him,“ Do you know that the Lord is going to take your master from you today?”“ Yes, I know,” he replied,“ so be quiet.”

There was a group of prophets at Jericho. They went up to where Elisha was. They asked him,“ Do you know what the Lord is going to do? He’s going to take your master away from you today.”“ Yes, I know,” Elisha replied.“ So be quiet.”

The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho drew near to Elisha and said to him,“ Do you know that today the Lord will take away your master from over you?” And he answered,“ Yes, I know it; keep quiet.”

Then the group of prophets from Jericho came to Elisha and asked him,“ Did you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?”“ Of course I know,” Elisha answered.“ But be quiet about it.”

Then the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him,“ Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?” And he answered,“ Yes, I know; say nothing about it.”

Now the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came to Elisha and said to him,“ Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?” So he answered,“ Yes, I know; keep silent!”

And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that Jehovah will take away thy master from thy head to- day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

Then the sons of the prophets who were in Jericho came up to Elisha and said,“ Do you know that the Lord will take your master away from you today?” He said,“ Yes, I know. Be quiet.”

And the sons of the prophets that[ were] at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know[ it]; hold ye your peace.

Some members of the prophetic guild in Jericho approached Elisha and said,“ Do you know that today the LORD is going to take your master from you?” He answered,“ Yes, I know. Be quiet.”

The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said to him,“ Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from your head today?” He answered,“ Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

Then the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha and said,“ Do you know that the LORD will take your master away from you today?” He said,“ Yes, I know. Be quiet.”

until the day he was taken up, after he had given instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.

a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak;

But Paul replied,“ I’m not out of my mind, most excellent Festus. On the contrary, I’m speaking words of truth and good judgment.

But the LORD is in his holy temple; let the whole earth be silent in his presence.

And while he was blessing them, he left them and was carried up into heaven.

Now, Father, glorify me in your presence with that glory I had with you before the world existed.“ I have revealed your name to the people you gave me from the world. They were yours, you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.Now they know that everything you have given me is from you,

They said,“ Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen him going into heaven.”

After the death of Moses the LORD’s servant, the LORD spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’s assistant:“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.

But his father refused and said,“ I know, my son, I know! He too will become a tribe, and he too will be great; nevertheless, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his offspring will become a populous nation.”

“ Be silent before me, coasts and islands! And let peoples renew their strength. Let them approach; let them testify; let’s come together for the trial.
